btw: It's not an LFO sync, there isn't even any lfo modulation on the SyncedUp patch, only enveloppes, and it does sound a lot like mkastrup said: it's not osc sync as we know it, its more like FM sync...
If its FM sync, than fine, the patch sounds good, I'll try to make more FM sync patches... But dam! How are you suppose to learn by analysing a reason preset patch if they start off by telling you it does something it doesn't do... all this time I spent trying to understand how the subtractor emulates OSC SYNC (because the manual does say: look at the SyncedUp patch for an example of OSC SYNC), I could have spent it on experimenting and making FM Sync patches...
I feel like writing to the reason developpers about this misleading note in the operation manual, but when I'm at work, the propellerheadz web site is blocked by superscout, could anyone please go on the site for me and get the e-mail address of who ever I should be addressing to get answers on this subject? I would realy appreciate it, who knows, maybe I'll be able to end this thread with whatever they reply...

Well in a sense they can claim is osc sync cause is does add the charistica of synced sound but in this case its a FM kinda sync. If i was to describe that sound i would call it something with sync too.

I understand your point... but if you go back about 2 sentences in the user manual, it says something like this:
"you may wonder why the subtractor does not have a PWM option or a OSC SYNC option like most synthetisers. well it doesn't have these features but these sound are still acheivable with all the other unique features of the subtractor through its subtraction and multiplication thing (-) & (x), leaving you with even greater possibilities. To see an example of PWM, see patch DontKnowTheName.zyp and see patch SyncedUp for an example of OSS SYNC."
just to say that they were not actually trying to use the words osc sync to describe the sound of the patch, it was more like the other way arround, they used the patch to demonstrate osc sync like its seen on some synthetisers... which right now does sound like a not so good example...
