But peakstopping would somewhat naturally happen f.e. in diodebridge compressor.

i like brickwall limiters after compression for a valid reason, you don't understand it, you're obviously not working like this/getting the idea behind this way of working ... no problem at all, you do yours, i do mine ...
have the last "mighty" word, if you feel better then, i certainly don't mind ...

indeed. but it would not be a brickwall, but a waveshaper, in fact in every single transistor in the design, but most of them working on their linear range.

(sort of OT but I keep pointing this out because brok wants the brickwalls everywhere thinking it emulates overdriving console preamps)

OK, let me get this straight:

Brok thinks there should be a brickwall limiter at the end of (most? all?) compressors, to catch overs and to emulate hardware?

Kingston thinks that's unecessary and is not what hardware does.

Is that correct?

I have no idea what is going on, all i know is that the Tbt range of plugs are all excellent and have may admirers. I mean even DOA likes them, and they are free!!!!!!!!!
