Hey,

the comparsion of TSL Ethnic & Folk Instruments and Ethnotronics is a waste of time because the owner's of each product get the other one as upgrade free of charge. But surely there are some details to report. TSL EF provides instruments phrases too. And a few extra instruments. ET comes with a couple of other extra instruments, but no instrument phrases. Complicated? Not at all :)

Yes, Julia is still struggling with the f***** webdesign software to get the product page uploaded. But to avoid any lack of product information details I'll ask her for posting the entire instruments list. This should work for the meanwhile. I'm currently doing some mp3 audio tracks, will be done by thursday.

Cheers

Honestly you might focus more on getting the actual shop part of it to work. Not being able to choose a payment method puts a damper on being able to buy product :)

So if I buy the TSL library I get ethnotronic free?

Have you ever heard such a load of bollocks in your life? About a product that's at least 18 months late, and they still can't describe properly or sell?

:P   :idiot: :nutter:

I've returned to my earlier position: keep it, dudes.

Like I said they need to fix the actual purchase part of the page. That would help :)

Hi shadoe42,

the shop page should work, as well as the product page, sorry for any confusion. Try this http://store.backintimerecords.de/index ... ments.html to order and www.backintimerecords.de/bitr047.htm for the product page. You can find the product content description there as well as on the first page of this thread.

We have a notice on the Order page with informations and on the store frontpage with a description what to do if the payment options aren't visible in your browser. In this case you can order with a mail and you'll get a PayPal invoice and then the download links.

Actually all this works quite good, and if you have anything special in mind just send us a mail. Orders are usually processed within a few hours, depends on the time zone.

Sincerely

Julia

Does that mean that even if I only own Vox'd as part of the TSW Pro package I still get the TSW Pro discount on Ethnotronics? That would be amazing.

Caleb
TSW Pro customers have TSW, TSW Expansion, TSW Expansion 2 and vox'd. This qualifies for the 20% discount on the TSL products and Ethnotronics and bass'd.

If you have vox'd, you can upgrade to TSW Pro. You could consider this for your future plans if you're thinking about buying several products through the time. You can spend the US$ 59.95 for the TSW Pro upgrade and save 20% with every purchase then.

 Let's clarify by taking an example, for instance the Oud instrument: the product page says it is in Ethnotronics, but only because it is already in TSL EF, and when you get Ethnotronics you get TSL EF, so technically it is not but in practice you get so it is (right :o). But the same product page does not say that you have some phrases in TSL EF which you will get with Ethnotronics without needing to purchase Ethnotronics XL. Complicated ? :hihi: :help:

So I agree with you that there is nothing to loose since owner of TSL EF get Ethnotronics, and it makes sense that owners of Ethnotronics would also get TSL EF (although I have never seen this explicitly declared before). But in this case the simple or at least less complicated way to do it would have been to say:
  • Ethnotronics = TSL EF + some additional sounds + superb exclusive skin + Instrument Guide (in german for the moment unfortunately, but soon in english I hope)
TSL EF is removed from catalog, and all owners upgrade to Ethnotronics
And just list the extra sounds in Ethno Pro and XL.
I am afraid that the unnecessary complexity is not helping the product, which is too bad since in the end it is an excellent sound library, and I love the skin.

Thanks julia - I suspected that would be the case.

Argh Julia.
Was just going to upgrade from Vox'd to TSW Pro, but I can't find an option for it in the shop. Do I have to do something else to upgrade?

Fixing the shop would be nice. This whole email to order thing..is frankly... crap. I am impatient sort of guy. If I can;t go to the page and punch the button..buy it and download...or go to the store and bring the box home... no thanks :)

Upgrades aren't listed in the shop. Just send a mail to my hands, I check your current product registration status, send the PayPal invoice and the download links.

It's not us, it's your browser setting. The shop is xt-comnmerce and works, but specific browser settings are making the payment selector box invisible.

Why is it that EVERY company ALWAYS blames MY browser.. yet I have tried YOUR page in more than one browser. I have used it in IE, Firefox, and FireFox thru IE tab. Have made sure all three are accepting cookies.Even cranked the security down to non existant.
Don't tell me it is my browser.

I will tell you that type of message is total crap and at this point I must say even if this was the best product in the world I will not be purchasing it. Flame me if you want. I no longer care.

I have ordered hundreds of products over the years through the internet.

I tried your shopping cart just now. I got to the point where I choose my payment - there is nothing to choose.

You cannot continue at this point.

I tried it in 3 browsers - same in all three.

Also, none of these pages are on a secure server as well. Granted, no cc info was entered yet, but you get the point.

You may want to look into this.

It's happening on all flavors of browsers on four different computers and I checked with my friend's computer and his browser(s) did the same thing - surely all of those computers and browsers could not possibly have improper settings, too?

I HIGHLY suggest you contact this company and tell them to update their software - it is obvious that the blame falls on them - sticking up for them won't help you at all. I use three different shopping cart software packages and none have this flaw. Worst case, open a FREE Paypal shopping cart and have zero hassle at all.
