Only positive thing I've read about CME is the Bitstream 3X control surface. The poster mentioned that was the ONLY thing good by them. I have one myself, and it works as expected, and I like it. Granted, I haven't really dug into it, but what soft synths I have controlled with it, it works perfectly.

Simple music philosophy - Those who can, make music. Those who can't, make excuses.

Could be because they don't actually make that one themselves. It's made by a French company called WaveIdea.

They alse make the Arturia Origin.

I can't speak for the newer models (the white ones), but their older line of UF's (the metal red/black ones) kick ass. I've had a UF5 for the past 2 years and out of all the keyboards and master controller's I've gone through over the years, I absolutely love it to death. I'm surprised to hear the comments about CME's newer stuff and TBH find it a bit hard to believe (not saying I dont believe your experience to be true, but my experience is completely the opposite). I also have had decent experience with their support, but I didnt bother messing with online support.. that always seems to suck for everything from ISPs to shoes to keyboards.

I've used a UF8 with weighted keys extensively and have a friend that ones own and often wish I had forked up the cash for that model, but I'm happy.

I even picked up the creamware/waldorf expansion board for my UF5..

I often suggest CME midi kbs to people..

..well, you're going to loose a few friends if they hear you. I have an UF7 and it's a pile of sh...t. The black keys transmit higher velocities than the white ones, and play with any kind of elegance is not allowed due the inconsistence of velocity tracking. The only good use I can think of it is to trigger loops or stuff like that. Support is inexistent. I also had the audio interface and I prefer to save my time and not comment on another shitty CME product. It's a shame that there are no good 76 or 73 keys controller from Novation or M-Audio. Doepfer has one but it's as heavy as my old K2600 sold exactly for that very reason.
