I agree with most here....IMO, it's pretty dumb. The only restrictions I see as being fit for these types of sample-based instruments are limited to commercial sample production. Oh well...vote with your wallet I guess. hehe, I think I've just ensured that I will never be doing any work for EW.

You're correct. Nick Phoenix. And that was VOTA (only library I've seen from them with special restrictions).

VOTA and Symphonic Choirs, which is actually "VOTA Platinum XP".

Sometimes I really wish you could read the EULA's (most of them can be) first before buying stuff, or a global thread where there're the rules as key points and then the sample packages listed that apply to them. Kind of like an overview of what's out there, and what to keep in mind. Is a load of work to update, but it'd be worth.

No, Symphonic Choirs does not have the same restriction as VOTA. It is considered an entirely new library. East West makes their EULA available online so it's easy to read it.

I meant "not" limited to EWQL only, I meant all samplefirms including the smaller, underground ones.

But that's just me, cause I'm lazy.

Bloody hell. Is the field for movie trailer music so littered with competition that he actually has to worry about it?
