OK, I just had some fresh news :

DC 2008 will be open soon
Synthmaker and Synthedit stuff are prohibited
All products must be VST win and mac + AU + RTAS + Linux
VA synths, crap delays and substractive shit will be deleted

More to come...

Why on earth do you prohibit SM / SE creations? You do not seriously know how many talented devs you are excluding from the contest by doing that.

Currently there is only the "Dope Ass Beats", but there will be more soon.

i supposed so - but only on the second or third read. at first, i took it seriously as well. the RTAS thing was actually the only point that made me confident that this can't be meant seriously because the RTAS license is not freely availabale, i think (i'm not entirely sure, though). ahh, and since when is subtractive=shit? :P

I got some even fresher news than stanlea, from an inside man

- DC2008 will open on March 1st 2008
- It is open to anyone in any plugin format
- Entries must be in by July 10th 2008, NO EXTENTIONS TO DEADLINES!
- Prizes consist of the DC2007 prizes not yet distributed

phew, I sent my entry just in time, I'm hoping I might win something this year ;)
