Nope, no release dates... I just programmed a big GUI part of my sequencer program and managed to get ca 80 % of what I thought it would solve and that was ca 3 months of hard thinking so I'm a bit hot for solving that problem
once and for all NOW!.
But the first compressor is done algo wise but I need to finetune the knobs
and polish the GUI parts..
Second one (2094) is done but I need to lift the algos into the new framework and slap on the black GUI.
Third is in use on some music projects but I want better performance on
certain algos....
There you have it!

Hm... the TLS-2094 sure looks like a Bootsie plugin.
And they sure would look cool (all of them), if they had the same width in terms of the rack look. BUt that's just me.

The 3092 is really really cool looking. I'm psyched to try these out. I'm definitely going to be donating. Hell, I owe it to you for the stuff you already have out...

If so, I am going to make it even worse now.
I am not really much of a compressor user. I use a bit on drums and vocals and thats about it. The idea of doing hard limiting or maximizing on a whole mix or finished track just makes me cringe.
Or it did before trying the TLS Pocket Limiter.
Genuine, honest to goodness transparent limiting. I didn't think it really existed. I thought it was a dream, or a faraway goal, or something too expensive for mere mortals to play with.
But it's actually a piece of freeware.
Wow.
Thanks oh ddummer person.
May the sun always shine on your tomatoes.

Indeed. He's got good compressors for the I-only-use-a-wee-bit crowd too.herodotus wrote:bduffy wrote:(I wonder if ddummer tires of our endless worship...)!

To be honest, I will often squash the hell out of drums (for which the TLS 2095 is a worthy tool). I like the 'suck the room into the drum' effect as much as anyone.bduffy wrote:

It's the obnoxious 'in your face' way people use compression on acoustic guitars and vocals these days that most makes me cringe. And the way they abuse hard clipping on the whole mix is just annoying. Kick drums reduced to square waves have no impact whatsoever. They just disappear. A particularly egregious example I was just looking at is the Songs For The Deaf (QOTSA). I mean, the album sounds like the drummer has a weak right foot, and that drummer is Dave Grohl for god's sake!
Anyway, rant over....carry on.....

I hear ya. Loudness war sucks. But I do hear good mixes that use lots of compression. Well, probably one doesn't notice it, if it's a good mix.herodotus wrote:To be honest, I will often squash the hell out of drums (for which the TLS 2095 is a worthy tool).
