I have had Izotope Vinyl installed on my Computer since it first came out like four or five years ago and never once had a problem with it. Also 75% of all Virus Alerts are False Positives. At least that's my number in 18 years of being on the Internet. The MainStream Internet(www.) came out in about 1987 or 1988 I believe? I got online in 1990.

So when was the 1st worm trojan backdoor dropper mutant variant wrote?
Remember these types of viruses were specifically designed to infiltrate LAN/WAN type networks and those kinds of Internet connections were not really commercially available until say at least 95/96 (I had WAVE cable internet in 97).
Also I'd like to remind everyone that is resting on the whole false positive view that servers for major companies get broken into ALL THE TIME. Files become corrupted and sensitive information gets compromised. Approaching system security from this angle is extremely risky.

You're still debating this? You've been given the "lowdown" so as I see it, you can either trust it or don't.Optomadic wrote:So when was the 1st worm trojan backdoor dropper mutant variant wrote?

Get Acronis True Image (or similar) and you'll never have to waffle about something like this again. Really.

[edit] And no, you need not ask whether the above post is authentic. Near as I'm able to tell it is. I consider the question completely and authoritatively closed.iZotope Support wrote:Hi everyone,
I just wanted to jump in and confirm that Vinyl 1.73 does not have a virus. We had our QA guys take a look at this today and we haven't found a problem. As someone noted, Vinyl has been around for quite a while. You should feel confident downloading and installing Vinyl 1.73 from the iZotope website. Thanks
