Hey I was just giving my vote here, like every other synth listed. I only have one. (although i try many demo's) Other people had reasons listed so i did the same. Why pick my choice out of the rest, like i'm pluggin sumtin?
When everyone else was doing the same with what they like. What you posted there was more than offensive. Sorry if your hemroids are acting up, but don't take it out on me.

I said f**k-all about your post, moron. I was taking the piss out of the dickwit who claimed that the responses were all coming from developers.

I've got to give another nod for two already mentioned...

*Sonic Charge: Synplant
*Audio Damage: Automaton

Why these two??

Well, they stand out the most for me because they provide something unique, at a time when the "uniqueness" of plugins seems to be an elusive concept.

Keep in mind, I'm not nocking anyone else's suggestions but these are simply two I'd like to see in a top 10 list

Cubase 4.5??

Am I missing something, what did that update actually do? Other than crash the program on exit every time.

For me 2008 was the year of Live 7

I went from version 5 to version 7 so there was a lot more for me to dig into

I'd try to make a list, but other than things I beta test for, I'm not sure I'd know what was released this year rather than last year. For instance, Morgana, already mentioned here, was released in 2007.
