Just my thought. It worked very well for, say, the Beatles. A tip for those of you who only use Am - G - F and C: Try a Dm every now and then.DocAtlas wrote:I would also add 7) chord progression (although I would place it right after melody and before arrangement)Lunatique wrote:1) lyrical content

Sometimes the right chord changes can really evoke a wide range of emotional responses. It works for me, at least!
Oh - and rhythm wasn't mentioned here. During the centuries there has always been a debate whether melody or rhyth is the most important aspect. BTW, if you put lyrics before melody, I guess you're into rap music!
Make great music,

I'd remove 6 from this list entirely. Listen to songs like Billie Holiday's 'Strange Fruit' or something similarly underproduced. Wouldn't get anyone to clean that up for the world.Lunatique wrote:1) lyrical content

In Serbia all you need is to find some b***h with 110cm+ breasts and your on your way to stardom! Of course being in tune is not mandatory here, and while most studios have shitloads of pro gear, none seem to use autotune.
So there you go, to have beautiful music, at least in Shitbia err Serbia, all you need is 110cm+ breasts.
