Hi, I have exactly the same problem. How exactly to you enable continuous sustain with the little coordinate thing you drag around with your mouse at the lower left corner? Could you explain in more details please?

:o You mean the virtual XY pad beside Cantabiles virtual keyboard??

What did you exactly do to enable sustain and how do you operate this now??

Here is something you could consider for real pedal stuff -

Bit of DIY, but not expensive!

You should be able to generate MIDI CC64 (sustain) from the pedal.

There you have all you need to have a USB sustain pedal.

Cheers!

Well I'm thinking on my next keyboard, and think this would be a good candidate: http://www.gear4music.com/Keyboards-and ... yboard/6OJ

It's not outrageously expensive(good value for the money), it's from a good brand, has 88 semi-weighed keys and since it's a midi keyboard, I THINK the sustain pedal I purchased recently would work with the piano vst's on my computer.

So any thoughts? Any recommendation besides this keyboard?

EDIT: Oops I didn't read this last couple of posts, the email notification isn't working for me, don't know why. :F I'll read them and then answer them here, sorry.

Click on the little coordinate thing with the right mouse key. On the X-Axis --» Controller choose "64 - Hold Pedal - (On/Off)"

Right below on Snap Back choose None. Click Ok and now move the little coordinate thing all the way to the right if you want sound with pedal always pressed, and all the way to the left if you want the sound without the pedal.

As for the solution Sasu Honka suggested, it really is an excellent solution, but I lack the knowledge to do it. I read the tutorial but I still don't know how to do it. I'll try to read it and understand it later.

The Logidy UMI3 usb pedal seems a good quality product, I'll have to think if I should buy it or purchase a new keyboard right away...

Thanks for all the help.

First you should find out if you like the keys touch and feel.

Technically make sure that you get dedicated midi drivers and that there are 64bit drivers too...

With just "class compliant drivers" - means windows standard midi drivers - and only confirmed 32bit support you might run into new trouble, like midi latency or with your next pc that might come with Win 7 64x preinstalled...

just my 2ct...
