Sylenth is the perfect mix synth. You can layer dozens Sylenths and you never get muddy in the mix. The limited choice of oscillators makes it appear to me as more limited though soundwise. Z3ta looks more flexible in general but probably you get less of one mix killer. Overall i feel they can work side by side without being big enemies.

oh.. am I late? but I want talk about this
Z3ta is a trance king at rough Digital synth, and,
sylenth1 is a trance king at strong modern analog synth.
I think like this.. all right?
It is sure Z3ta is rough digital synth with some popular synths like zebra.
but, I don't know about sylenth1 is analog. but, this type synth is surely have a power than before analog synth.
and that sound is a typical trance hardware synth. but I don't know where I can listen this kind of sound at hardware. anyone know?
anyway.. I thought sylenth1 is some light at past. but, after listen to sound designer's demo song, more and more I think It isn't light. and I found, sylenth1 is a little bit similer with AAS or DCAM when I listen to Himalaya's Tassman demo songs
personally, I much like rough or harsh digital synth than this kind of synths, but, sylenth1 is seems must synth too.
