@paterpeter Hi, I had the same problems in FL studio... too many istances of NR makes problems... a bit annoying... because the sounds that can come through this vst are really great...

Excellent. Haven't been involved in this compo for a while (only being involved with one previously) - I should have an entry for this round

In case you all missed it or it gets drowned, I've now made a general discussion thread and started a rules discussion there, so please come with your viewpoints on that: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4305672

Well, I was going to do another track, but instead, I'm designing a synth for the Any 1 synth challenge. I will do my track in a brand new wacky as hell synth, and when the comp is over, I'll release it
.... might still do another NR2010 track though ... ha ha .. it's a cracker of a synth

UPDATE- I figured it out- you have to click on "Drop Box" tab.
My entry uploaded but don't see it yet. I confirmed my email but I got a "Oops, looks like we can't find that page" message before that. How long does it take to show up in soundcloud? Or did I do something wrong?

My entry is up:
"Revelations From The Age of Enlightenment"
Mike777 (aka Michael John)
Made with Sonar 8 and 9 instances of GTG NR2010. Used no other effects, just what is in the synth. Had no crashes nor delay issues. Took about 6 hours- original composition written on 11/8/2010.
Thanks to tattiemannie for a great job in running these contests! And thanks also to V'ger for keeping these going! Really appreciate it.

Cheers and sorry about the SoundCloud confusion, the link should go directly to the dropbox, but obviously didn't. Fixed now.

Right, I meant on the site, I gave Tattie the same wrong one before. Will ask him to update the first post in this thread too.

Ok, 'Outro' by mrblitz000
Renoise Host
3x GTG NR2010
George Wong W1 on stereo out
Save for the W1, decided to go the 'Mike777 route' with regard to effects. 'All of the EQ' was done in the VCF Envelope of the synth.
This is one of those synths I made a note to get back to. It's really straightforward; doesn't require advanced synthesis expertise to grasp.
Sounds good.
Oh; I never run a lot of instances in these contests; my record probably being 6 instances. But there were no problems in Renoise. CPU probably peaked at about 30% on a 1.8ghz P4. To put it another way, CPU was low enough that i made that aforementioned mental note to take another listen to this thing as a part of future projects.
It's great that we're paying another tribute to the developer. GTG made some good synths...
Well, onward and sideways or whatever...

Well, here's my entry.
I decided to provide some visuals of it playing (much more interesting that way!).
(I'll submit it the official way in the next few days)
I really love writing this style of music. Only worrying about the notes and the dynamics, and no percussion to 'hold you back'.
I'm tempted to make an album of this genre, whatever this genre is!

OK, I'm not really sure what I'm doing with the soundcloud thing, but I'm uploading my track right now:
Title: TIRING YEARS
Artist: Mac of BIOnighT
Vst instruments and effects:
12x GTG NR 2010
Delays, reverbs, Ruby Tube, EQs, exciters, stereo field wideners
Don't fret, it's not a two-hour opus, it's just ten minutes or so
By the way, I'm afraid I got confused by what is currently being discussed in the other thread about new rules and I named my track placing name before title - I'm not sure, but maybe I still had to do the opposite. If anybody can do something about it, I'd really appreciate it; if it's not a big problem, however, it's fine the way it is to me... (my apologies anyway)
Man, haven't done an OSC for quite a while, now that I'm uploading I feel something trembling in the pit of my stomach...
