Yep. That's intentional. Think of a Mod as being like a brush stroke; it colours the painting, but it's probably not the only thing on the canvas. Mod names aren't retained because you can apply a bunch of Mods in a row to build a preset, plus a bunch of your own tweaks, and... well... what name should it show then? If you're needing to label, just unclick the Mods selector and name the patch there (right-click, or ctrl+click on mac)sunny_j wrote:1- Also, upon reloading compassion, why does the mod name change to "none"?? is this intentional??
As above. I +could+ get it to retain the "name of the last mod that you applied to the patch", if there's a consensus that it would be useful... but my concern is that it works against a solid intuition of what mods are doing.2- Secondly, in the default gui mode in compassion, i choose a mod X, now when i change the gui from full to compact, the mod name changes to "none" again !!
I need to ask you about this one, 'cause I can't reproduce this. Can you drop me a mail with system + software info, so we can track this down? That really does need fixing, but I've no other reports.3- Third, that equality bug i mentioned some posts ago..
Dave.

Sorry for delay. Just replied. Adjusting "refresh rate" in Setup->Misc +should+ fix this. Let me (us?) know!steffensen wrote:Emailed Dave about this, but as theres no reply yet (ok, only waited 1 day), i thought id post in here and see if others experience the same too.

Happens here too with XP SP3 and Sonar X1c 32bit.DaveGamble wrote:I need to ask you about this one, 'cause I can't reproduce this. If I change EQuality GUI modes then active band buttons are updated.

Just to let the people know, this "fix" sorted the unresponsiveness out in my hosts. It makes EQuick a bit sluggish tho, but at least i can work with it now.DaveGamble wrote: Sorry for delay. Just replied. Adjusting "refresh rate" in Setup->Misc +should+ fix this. Let me (us?) know!

This fixes it for me too. But then the analyzer becomes useless for me (@10Hz). I think I'll stick with the lagging setting

Yea, the slow rate affects the reaction for the EQ as well, not just analyzer, which is a bit annoying. Would be great if it didnt.Umudo wrote:This fixes it for me too. But then the analyzer becomes useless for me (@10Hz). I think I'll stick with the lagging setting

Thanx for replying Dave..
ok, i understand the mod naming thing, but it is ok for the name to reset on reload, but on a gui view change (full to compact or otherway) is weird..
second, the equality bug.. win7 x64, ati drivers here. i think it's a matter of gui refresh/redraw or something. cuz if i click and drag the whole gui such that the buttons are off-screen and then i bring the gui back onscreen, the buttons are updated again..

I can confirm that. Change of GUI mode updates them also.sunny_j wrote:-- if i click and drag the whole gui such that the buttons are off-screen and then i bring the gui back onscreen, the buttons are updated again..

DaveGamble wrote:Almost certainly. It won't kill me to include a no-sidechain VST2 version. I'll do that.zvenx wrote:I can confirm this......I think it is the workaround on the vst2 sidechaining technique.taoyoyo wrote:Hi Dave,
Thanks for the updates.
Just wanted to let you know that the Compassion VST is still not working in Maschine (think I sent you a couple of emails about this a while back), both 332 and 64bit versions.
The plugin will load but is not getting the audio into it (Equality and EQuick VSTs and all AUs work fine in this aspect, just Compassion VST).
Appreciate that Maschine is not your biggest market and you're a busy fella but would be good if this could get sorted.
Cheers,

Hi Dave,
Sorry to dig this one up but is there any news on when no-sidechain VST versions for all of the DMG plug-ins might be available? Would love to be able to use the VSTs within Maschine.
Many thanks,
Alan
