i'm not sure about the latency argument, i'll leave that to others to talk about and read what people think. Nice story about the 5 conga sounds in 1983. That year, coincidentally, is about the time my newest FX acquisition was built, a ProCo Rat bass distortion. Got that this week.

But for the more unusual effects I was thinking of when i posted this thread the KP Mini 2 looks to be the thing for me. I'd like the big KP of course, but it's too expensive. It's great that it can host samples too via SD, as the RS7000 only has 64MB of RAM. Although it's a nice challenge to be honest, makes you think about each sample carefully
