Thanks for the review! I have the P8H77 MB with the i7-3770 (with no "K") CPU and 8GB of RAM on its way, good to know what I can expect.

Still a bit concerned about the switch from XP to Win7-64. I've been running Win7 Pro on my laptop for 6 months or so now with no serious issues (won't run my old FPGA design software, so no more compatibility with NT 4.0 apps :cry: ), but then again I have never tried any serious real time stuff on my laptop.

On the system I listed, realtime audio/music work using Win7 64bit has been reeeeeally smooth :) ... I had my doubts when making the switch, too, but it's really really good.
