I am very impressed with this plugin. For me it's worthy of being in the masterbus. Excellent product for an excellent price.

I have a w7 x64 Q6600 system with a RME soundcard.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Well, if bmanic likes it, that means I'll need to check this out.
Now, I won't get a chance to demo this for a few days at best...how's the CPU usage?
On my system the cpu usage is exactly 2.85% @ 44.1khz samplerate. On a 48khz project it's 3.10%. Not too bad IMO.
Hope this helps

Hibidy, put the keyfile in the same directory where the plug-in is.
My final verdict is: this thing ROCKS!!!

Trying out the plugin some more.. find it to be pretty nice, but not as great as many suggest it to be.
It seems to be better than Ferox but still lacking hi end clarity/detail once trying to color and saturate some more (circuit clip always to minimum) ..anyway, a useful "blur-dirt" gluing tool nonetheless.
I predict that a favorite model would be the Japanese 75 - 7.5IPS
interesting color, especially good for my dark mixes
The Hybrid seems to be an all purpose model with the Jappanese 7.5 for dark material and Swiss 15 for bright/harsh.
Don't really know why, but expected more from the Professional - 30 IPS model.
The old and rusty model feels experimental and a bit of "just for the sake of adding it"
All in, the plugin seems (almost very) good imho and it's definitely worth checking out!
..especially if you don't have a good saturation and coloring tool...than it would be a no-brainer deal?
As for me, I thank for the excellent price offer and maybe will get it some day if the overall clarity would be improved or at least if some more interesting models would be added to the list. ..heck I might get it just for fun as a murky gluing thingy!
Added: Tested mainly on the acoustic drum bus... so opinions may change once testing some more!

What high end clarity detail? Care to explain? Usually i mean usually you loss high end detail with tapes.bangzero wrote:for comparison 3ee, what's your fave clear gluing thingy?3ee wrote:[...]It seems to be better than Ferox but still lacking hi end clarity/detail once trying to color and saturate some more (circuit clip always to minimum) ..anyway, a useful "blur-dirt" gluing tool. You can always put bootsie EQ in the end and add that sparkle.
I am amazed both at the plugin and times we live in. For 10 eur you get AMAZING plugin...

still testing the VOS Thrillseeker for bus comp duties (I like it so far)
wishing for Waves PuigChild 670
Currently I don't have a saturation device that really satisfies me, I always have to combine them to get cool coloring and saturation. I try to get the best out of Ohmicide although nowadays it feels outdated.
Demoing Fabfilter Saturn and I kinda (really) like that but I can't afford it...

I was thinking of getting this and Barricade and the site seems to indicate there is a bundle with both in - "Bustools" but there is no purchase link for such a bundle.

That would be the case with lower IPS, no?kmonkey wrote:What high end clarity detail? Care to explain? Usually i mean usually you loss high end detail with tapes.

With higher IPS, tape should round and accentuate the high end with ultra clear detail and sizzle. At least that's what I expect from a great tape machine.
Of course, the audio material needs to be good in the 1st place... and I do agree that the TB ReelBus is a great tool for it's price (although I remember someone suggesting that we shouldn't compare by price and I agree with that) ...
sure my initial thought were... OMG, I really need to get this.. but if it's not really "lovely" for my own personal use, than I will always be looking for a bit something else or more.. and I don't wish to buy every new plugin over enthusiasm...
