The visual feedback alone makes it much better than the previous implementation
It works great with my PadKontrol. But I think I'll still buy a Launchpad in the near future!

The only thing that prevents me from ever touching Cubase 5 LE again is a midi pass-through function, so I could easily record my hardware synth knob twiddling as midi....

Post

i can highly recommend geting a launchpad to use for the performance mode,it works really good

Post

yes, i tried it out yesterday and it works amazingly good... :)

Very nice, now i need a launchpad, sad that touch osc isnt supported anymore for the moment.

The love I feel for FL Studio has no limits. This new performance mode is amazing. Before trying it, the idea of performing live was not my cup of tea, but now I've tried it, it's a whole new story. Not only I now consider the idea of performing live, but also can use it as a production or arrangement tool, recording my performances, in a whole new way (for me). The possibilities in FL are endless! Love how FL has become a monster of a tool...and all that with those sweet lifetime free updates for life. So much value in it...purchased it in version 6, and...my god...FL has evolved tremendously since then. Best purchase ever.

Awesome job IL guys. Keep it up!

It's the host that keeps on giving. Performance mode looks to be a good addition, also a good price for the update.

Will I be able to use my Akai MPD to trigger the 'performance mode'? Also, does it trigger automation clips?

Ahh once again the promo video explains it all! Nice work :)

Is there anyway to trigger what would be like a whole scene in ableton (ie bass, drums, synths)? I had a quick play with this and could not for the life of me figure it out!

Great work fruity team : ) Imageline updates are always suprisingly good and innovative.

Yes Performance mode has 'Scenes' check the manual here -

Grouping clips makes them a 'Scene' then Ctrl+Click or using a 'Scene' button on the controller plus any clip in the scene will trigger the group together. There are several ways to group clips. Horizontally (for round-robins) and vertically or both. You can also trigger columns of clips on the same bar or time marker.

As it is a MIDI controller sure you can use it. We don't have specific support for performance mode (yet?).

You can trigger Audio, Automation and Pattern Clips in any combination and or Scenes

That mode is pretty darn cool indeed. I haven't played with the beta yet so maybe a RTFM question... can you save those performance sequences? I mean, if you create something cool in performance mode and randomly trigger stuff and decide you like what you've done over the last few minutes, is there any way to capture that and create a new arrangement or something from it?

I only ask because my only real experience with non-linear playback was with Cubase's arranger and I always like that it could create a new song arrangement out of a non-linear sequence. Granted, it doesn't do anything like Performance Mode afaik, so I was just wondering out of curiosity.

Thanks. Very cool.
