I see.

Something must have been changed then because it all works fine in 1.2.2.0

(I just rechecked to be sure im not telling you nonsense.)

A real shame. The screenshots looked great and I was looking forward to seeing the end product.

Just tested in Podium - exactly the same - nothing is saved. In fact it's even worse than Reaper as it doesn't even recall the pattern - it's just empty.

A very welcome feature (as I will often you use 2 kicks together - one will have the attack softened or a later start point) but... a feature like this really needs a tiny fade to avoid non zero crossing point clicks. ADM doesn't appear to have this so it's pretty useless.

I wonder if anything changed with newer versions?

No. I think the sample support in ADM was an add on because the 909 cymbals and hi hats use samples and this allowed the user to change those samples.

There are no sample playback features other than those described by ENV1 and sample support is limited to 16 bit mono wav files. There was talk a while back of improving sample support but this is yet to materialise. But at the end of the day ADM was intended as a 606/808/909 emulation, not a sample playing drum machine.

I'll give ADM CM a go in Sonar and let you know how I got on.

I've just given ADM CM 1.2.2.1 a quick test in Sonar 3 64 bit (Windows 7) using the built in bit-bridge.

All the patterns, samples and routing are remembered with the project by Sonar as expected.
(In fact, it doesn't have a minor bug regarding the display of the routing that appeared in the 64 bit version).

I've not yet tested the problem with clicking samples when using in note mode.

I re-downloaded ADM CM from the CM Vault in December 2014. When did you get 1.3.3.0?

It was a bit of a forlorn hope trying to get an answer over at the Audiorealism forum unless you're interested in fif@ 15 spam.* :)

*Edit: The spam has been cleared up as of 15/02/15. :tu:

Thanks for trying it in a different host. It looks like it might be something that was introduced in 1.3.3.0 (I'm really not sure when I got it but the last time I bought a CM mag was probably last September/October time iirc.) or some problem that Reaper and Podium have with it.

I spent most of yesterday trying out some ideas and I've settled upon using Shortcircuit and Reapers JS plugin megababy which is a great little step sequencer. It works in exactly the same way - you trigger the patterns with midi notes - which is the set up I wanted all along. In fact, that combination is far more powerful than ADM anyway (not to put a downer on ADM as the emulation side is great) when working with samples. Little did I know that Reaper had such a good step sequencer :)
