Good futuristic track! Though I waited for a big drop the whole time ^^

a good blend of styles and progressions, never staying too stagnant. bass synth is cool, enjoyed that. I thought some of the drum sounds might have let it down, particularly the snare, but thats not a critique, only my personal opinion. the track shows alot of imagination and forward arranging.

Thanks for checking this out, DaMuh. Glad you liked it. I think most of my tracks are quite retro in style terms, so it makes a change for somebody to describe this as futuristic. In fact you made my dayDaMuh wrote:Good futuristic track! Though I waited for a big drop the whole time ^^
Whether by design or accident, I don't usually put drops into my tracks, but I am approaching the final stages of my next remix, and have added a subtle drop (is there such a thing?) into it. Should be up in the next few days.
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them

I was going for an '80s sound with the snare, which was a standard EnergyXT snare that I tweaked a little. It's not my favourite snare sound either, but I thought it matched the mood I was after.

My favorite from you. The bass/lead lines are especially cool. Who are you listening these days?

It's funny. I don't feel that the music I produce sounds particularly like the music that I listen to apart from DM.
Over the last year, I have been listening mainly to the tracks on KVR and King Crimson, '70s Genesis, Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Zappa, Royksopp and of course, Depeche Mode. Oh yeah, Stravinsky. I can never get the Firebird Suite out of my head. That piece of music has everything. I try to play that only once a month. It's got claws

Very nice composition. Reminds a bit of what Xymox was doing in the 80s.
I do think there is too little bass and too much treble in the mix. I wonder what kind of monitors/speakers you are using. I am thinking your speakers are boosting the bass causing you to lower it in the mix.
