I still dont have a clue what live does I just guessed how to use it only read the manual for the prefrences setup. I mainly use 3rd party plugins so all I needed to know is how to place them make beats and record I will get right into it next week. Jbridge sorted out the crashing at 3.2GB which is live 32bit's limit. Still going to need Jbridge to run Soundtoys and Eventide plugs in Live 64bit.

Installed Google Chrome and the accept button apears on the download beta page. Thanks for that tip :)
Installed Live 8.4 64bit on Windows 7 64bit.
ilok 2 protected plugins work, no probs.
Live 64bit loads up with your live8.3 prefrences apart from custom skins
Plugins open much faster. Think the samples load faster too.
32bit plugins need Jbridge insalled to be compatible with Live 64bit.
My Compatible Plugins
32bit Soundtoys all plugs + Jbridge. Works
32bit Eventide Blackhole + Jbridge Works
64bit Omnisphere works
64bit Trilian works
64bit DMG Audio Equick works
64bit U-he Diva works
64bit U-he Zebra works
64bit U-he ACE works
64bit Slate Digital FG-X works
64bit Slate Digital VCC works
64bit Slate Digital VTM works
64bit Steven Slate Drums 4 works
64bit Amplitube Works
64bit Kontakt Player works
64bit Cakewalk Z3TA 2 Works
Thats the lot. Just waiting for Live 128bit now :)

This is great and all but I've got a dumb question, a fair few of my plug ins aren't showing up in the 64 beta. Is this because they're 32 bit? For example my recently purchased analog laboratory is nowhere to be seen but my other Arturia kit shows up no problem (Sem V, CS80, Jupiter 8). I was under the impression that it would run 32 and 64 bit versions or is that me being stooooooopid.

All plugins need to be 64bit to work with a 64bit DAW
But if you're on Windows install Jbridge and this will run 32bit plugins in Live 64bit. This workaround worked for Soundtoys and Blackhole which are 32bit only at this time the 64bit versions are being worked on.

The button is there in Internet Explorer, bottom left just under text - White font on white background! (just click around, you can find it- some sort of Beta testers intelligence test!!!)alexfalcao wrote:Found the problem. The "Ableton Beta Program" page, does not shows the "ACCEPT" box to click under Internet Explorer, I tried with Google Chrome and I was able to see it and go to the Download page. Weird.......SLiC wrote:I posted the download link on page 1 of this thread, its in the forum under beta 8.4...alexfalcao wrote:I can not see the Beta download link, I jusr see Version 8.3.2.

Fantastic!
Ok, I get the part of 32Bit plugins not working anymore (not sure yet how many will be affected) BUT for some reason my VST plugins are completely gone/disabled.
I don't understand that part. Anybody?

checked all the relevant preferences in live? including the location of your plugins? (which is, by default, different for 32bit and 64bit VST plugins)miro pajic wrote:Fantastic!
