I'm not going to tolerate this kind of spam, even with free apps. I can accept inline ads, like with the facebook app.
But I got to say, having ads and spam popups in _purchased_ apps is beyond words.
This is just utterly unacceptable.
Lol no possibility of me ever buying an IK product...but there are millions of casual iOS users who will be candidates to fund their efforts in the years to come.

I own iRig Recorder and Amplitube. I haven't really had the opportunity to use Amplitube much, but for a while use iRig Rec daily. I can say that the pop up EVERY time I start the app has caused me to stop using it. I purchased the app and when I did that I made the assumption that pop ups and ads in general would be gone. But you know about assumptions. I liked iRig Recorder over some of the competing apps because it did made quick work of getting on the spot sound recorded and posted. I liked how I could set it to stat recording when the app opened. That way when I needed to get a recording immediately I didn't have to wait. BUT then every time I would open the app and the recording would start BOOM a pop up over my record window. Now my only choice is to LOOK at it the entire time (but its covering vital info during recording), or tap the screen to make it go away, but doing so might end up recording the tap noise. That means not only is the pop up on a paid application obnoxious, but it actually hampers the use of the application. This iRig Recorder pop up alone has made me stay away from other IKM apps, but I DID buy Amplitube when it went on sale and when I use it and the ad pops up in there also it totally pisses me off. It makes me think I'm buying some piece of shareware or using a free app not what is supposed to be a quality paid app. Sorry guys, but unless the ads go away completely in paid versions I'm not using any more of your apps or hardware.

I keep getting popup ads in Sampletank even while playing (full version with all IAPs purchased). That coupled with IKMs spam bombardments all over the internets doesn't help gaining 'em a positive attitude from customers. Do I really need to shut down my wifi if I wanna use Sampletank (complete version) without getting popup ads?

You shouldn't get them while playing, only upon opening (shortly thereafter), and no ads for apps/accessories you have registered. If this isn't the case, support is there for you at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/support

I don't want them at all. Remove them, you don't shove popup ads in people's faces in a purchased product, simple as that. I think you added this "feature" in the last update or the update before, so should be easy enough to remove again.

Interesting. In many paid apps, the ONLY feature is the removal of pop up ads.

I had also assumed this was a feature of the IK apps. Wrong.

But IK has traditionally responded to user input fairly promptly (see British Channel re-design). Surprised they haven't addressed this. Surely will hurt them in the App store ratings, thus affecting sales. I would think THAT would prompt some action.

Just opened Sampletank and started playing, only to get interrupted by today's popup ad about some DJ rig. Seriously, remove this crap from my product that I've paid good money for (and I did not sign up for any ads nor did I f'in buy ads at the time of purchase). Chop chop! Or are you guys to busy prepping the new "PR release announcement" for mass spamming?

Try to report the problem to the app store, last (and only) time I did ( it was about something else), I received 5 itunes credits which I have no use for, I don't even listen to my own music, but at least it generates a report and if a bunch of people do it, things may get faster.

I'm not sure apple wants every developper to piss off their customers.

And you can report any problems directly to us, which is probably a good method as BERFAB notes other examples of us listening. Though here and iTunes can be how you wish to go about it indirectly and we'll have indirect reports (though I do send your information on, it is more powerful coming directly from you) or not know at all (when you use the App Store to report it). Thanks! That will be all from me on this thread, I've stated the same thing a couple of times anyway and given the best advice I can, and relayed your information.
