anybody else write music but dont really listen to it?

Country is a place I never go. When I worked in a brick and mortar biz I'd play fm every chance I got. It's funny. Years gone by I'd work at places and we'd all sing along with the radio. There would be no shortage of musicians working in restaurants. Just a few years back I'd be singing at work and all the 20 somethings were amazed by my singing ability, and as much as they confessed love for their own music they couldn't remember the words let alone sing for the life of them.

I think you have to continually reinvigorate your interest in music by listening to new things, or in some cases, relisten to old things. It is the only way, I think, to keep inspiration flowing...
