Yeah I posted it there so as not to divert this thread. But I've moved them to a USB drive now anyway.

Just bought this even though I have no use for it in the foreseeable future considering the type of music I write. But it's just so beautifully done! I don't remember smiling so much when watching a YouTube walkthru.

I will now waste a couple of nights playing with this before (hopefully) getting on with what I should actually be doing.

Amazing library. Right now I "doodle" stuff with it.
Beside the sound, interface, the analog vibe and the incredibly orchestral quality of synthesized sound, this is an incredibly inspirational tool.

It is so easy to get creative ideas when all the instruments are there in front of you. No fuss, no need to get the patches separately to work...

Post

Bought it straight away after haveing watched the video. I don't remember when I had so much fun with an instrument straight out of the box - inspiring sound, ingeniously programmed.

Talk about instant gratification, with the added promise of rewarding deeper exploration.

It would be an incredible bargain at twice the price.

/Joachim, in a very happy mood
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I heard that!

Well, I think the dev had the correct price point. For twice the amount, I wouldn't have bought it. But at this price, I couldn't resist. It's a really nice little lib.

Of course, I should add: since it was so economically viable, I also bought two of his other products, so he got even a little bit more than the double...

Indeed, it would still be a bargain if it was available for Kontakt player

Solid State Orchestra is a great idea and sounds wonderful!
I will buy this in the next week or 2,it looks like It's fun to use as well as very useful library for the arsenal.

Tracy,
Are there any plans to add additional articulations like pizzicato, marcato, staccato etc....in the future?
Thanks

KC,

There are Marcato and Staccato articulations in the Strings section, but no pizzicato. That's a good idea, though.

There will be a minor update sometime this week. It will add the ability to use expression or mod controllers to control volume and some more presets, as well as a couple of bug fixes. There will also be some empty Groups available for importing user samples, which will be selectable in some of the menus.

Also planned are some "expansions", which I'm quite excited about!

Then you did the calculations and know how many hundreds and thousands of Euros the NI licensing fees would be? Why do you think the libraries that come for Kontakt Player cost so much?
Reaper user? Get my free JSFX plug-ins, also available via ReaPack extension.

Just wanted to add that I am completely in love with this library. My best buy in a long time. Looking forward to expansions and the coming update! :)

exactly, i rather pay once for the full kontakt instead of paying much more for every kontakt lib i purchase just to have it working with the player.

Hi everyone,

We've just completed the update for Solid State Symphony, and it's available now.

New features:

-Added expression (CC#11) control of volume, individually adjustable per element.

-Added high velocity range setting for each element (rather that just low velocity).

-Big Drum. Big cinematic boominess. Can be played across keyboard or in Rhythm sequencer.

-New orchestra, pad, and rhythm presets.

-You can now load custom samples in specially labelled Groups for use in PitchMod and Gated Pad elements.

-New preset nkis.

Please just email me with your original purchase data, and I'll send you a link!

Here are demos of some of the new presets:

Warlord. Features Big Drum sequence triggered on any key in the C1-B1 range. Note that during the first half of the piece only 2 keys are down at any time.
Epic fun.

Big Drum. Sort of timpanish/taiko-esque. The notes I'm playing are somewhat arbitrary, but the tone does vary a bit across the keyboard.
