Thanks for the info :)

The demo works very well. None of that "thank you for trying this demo" voice over :tu:

A bit off topic (while still Tone2 related) and I don't want to sound impatient but still almost nobody (besides 1 reply) interested in this:

I'm thinking that Rayblaster is released quite recently, maybe users need to spend time exploring it's full potential, before they decide they need to expand it :?:

Release was around end of November so i guess a first soundest is not too early...
As i don't want to derail this thread maybe you could reply at that other thread... :)

I don't know what i could add much about Saurus as i already "praised" it since a long time now. anyway it sounds even better than it did before as others alraedy mentioned. An interesting addition is that it's possible to load Arp pattern files of Rayblaster with Saurus and to save your own patterns with it.

Is there a way to hide the keyboard in Saurus?

The interface is kind of big, I don't need to see the keyboard keys.

Yes, drag Diva over it.

Nearly had my beer all over the keyboard...

This is actually in Rayblaster already, being able to hide / show keyboard, might be there with 1.2. Along with some of the Sine modifiers in the mod matrix too.

Whatever...

PC:

Place any file called SaurusHideKeys.cfg in the same directory as the Saurus.dll

You can just use Notepad to create it.

Mac:

Place any file called SaurusHideKeys.cfg to Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/

I wrote an email to Markus. He said that it is already possible in v1.1. But he didn't annouce it officially as a feature, because too many hosts are buggy and can't do the resizing of windows properly. He created a thread about it in the tone2 forum.

Hidden feature in Saurus v1.1: hide the keyboard
------------------------------------------------

http://www.tone2.org/forum/index.php?topic=1414.0

-----------------------------------------

The keyboard can be hidden by placing SaurusHideKeys.cfg in plugin directory.

On PC:

Place any file called SaurusHideKeys.cfg in the same directory as the Saurus.dll
This is mostly C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VstPlugins\

On Mac:

Place any file called SaurusHideKeys.cfg to Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/

Then restart Saurus.

If you delete the file the keyboard will reappear again.

Same here. I really like the sound of Saurus (demo), but I have several other VA's that can produce very similar sounds. If you don't already own a bunch of VST's, Saurus would be a great first synth since it seems to be able to cover a lot of (analog/VA) ground, but I've already got that ground covered I think.

Funny how other synths manage it fine.

Anyone else getting no sound from the Saurus demo? Logic 8 = nada, nothing, not even from the GUI's keyboard.

works in logic here... (L9...). re-install? make sure the content files are there... (saurus arps folder, saurus sounds folder), in HD>Library>Audio>Plugins).
