Looks cool, I will demo it for sure. I have a few different "glitch" plugins in my arsenal, and each has a different flavor that makes them all useful to me.

Haha :)

For what it's worth, I've tried the demos for most of Sugar Bytes' plugins, and they're all superb in their own right. Obviously a very skilled team of chaps! (Their offices are actually just around the corner from my flat here in Berlin, although I haven't gone to say hello yet, haha).

As szalonykp already mentioned, and as others have mentioned in the past, some people will prefer their stuff, while others will prefer my stuff. There's really no need for any of us to argue about it, or to slag off the other person/company. That's just silly and unnecessary.

The plugins may look alike (now moreso than ever, I guess), but I think there's enough differences between them to make each one unique in some way. It's all good, baby!

Just bought this... I've been looking at the 'Glitch' plugin for a long time. However, I was unable use it because I was on a mac.

I also own SB Effectrix too...

I've only just installed it now. My first impressions are very positive, and it's very ez to use. The interface in general is cleaner, and the blocks are easier to move about compared to Effectrix imo.

But how does it sound? I'm just running through the effects now, and I'm very impressed so far. It's well worth checking out..

Re. the price... I think it's very fair. Yeah, V.A.T. sucks, but you can blame the lovely EU for that. In fairness, these guys have been putting out this plugin for free for a long time. So I think they are well entitled for some slack regarding an intro price. :)

Thanks for making it available on the mac! :)

Hi, Dblue
Congratulation for the v2 release.
I'm glad to see GLitch alive again, it really deserves it.

And U-he lives in the next flat, Native Instruments opposite to your flat, and the CableGuys are coming to you for a coffee??

Jokes aside, most German plugin developers are living in Berlin, aren't they? Maybe with one exception of Tone2 which is located in the near of the Chiemsee lake...

One feature I liked with old Glitch 1 (I hope it's still available, I only have an old copy), was the ability to trigger FX modules by keyboard notes.

Granted, this was limited to one master FX and one secondary FX, but it was less random than the arranger mode setup with the very same pattern. I could trigger things at will.

The question is, since it's not on the official page, can I still do this. Or even trigger more than one FX module at the same time?

If this is the case, it's (in my opinion) the perfect fusion of Artillery and Effectrix, but Glitch styled of course.

So yeah... if that feature is "available", then I'm definitely game. 50EUR+VAT is about 60quids. Still okay priced - if it'l be properly maintenanced from now on.

The manual will be uploaded soon. Probably tomorrow. But the plugin is really not that difficult to use in the first place. Every button/knob/etc. has tool tips that explain what it does, so it should only take you a few moments of clicking around on some stuff to get the hang of the basics.

Presets are not yet included, mainly because this thing tends to sound very different on whatever you feed into it. I could create a cool pattern with a certain drum loop or something, where the effects are hitting on small percussive noises that sound cool for me, but then it will sound totally different when you feed your own loops into it. For this reason, it was a bit tricky to come up with some meaningful presets.

Really.. just hit the randomize buttons a few times. It only takes a moment to get some crazy sounds out of this thing :)
Thats about what I figured. I just wasnt sure what the difference was between mutate and random. I only asked about presets cause I saw one in the screen shot and didnt know if there were supposed to be any there, but I figure like most people on glitch1 it was either random or designed specifically for what it was used on. Sometimes its just nice to flip through some presets though to get some combination ideas

Playing the effect modules in a true polyphonic fashion is not yet possible, but is definitely something I'd like to do in a future update.

At the moment, each program has 128 scenes corresponding to each of the 128 MIDI notes. So you just route MIDI note data into Glitch in order to change scenes on the fly.

If you want to trigger different effects with different MIDI notes, then just set up a new scene for each effect, with only that effect programmed into the sequencer. The benefit this time around being that each scene also has its own unique effect parameters, so you could dedicate an entire octave to several different retrigger set ups, for example, rather than just being limited to one retrigger speed for the entire program.

Just fart about with the demo for a while and see how it feels. :)

This is awesome! Glitch is one of the few 32bit plugins I still use - absolutely didn't expect to ever see an updated version. Thanks Kieran!

Just wondering, can i use Glitch 2 live when dj-ing with Ableton?
I guess this ties in a bit with what compy asked. Are different fx rigger-able with midi keys?
Also, if someone knows, how much latency does it have?

Very glad to see Glitch2 for osx!!

Looks like fun. Looks like a more experimental/creative version of effectrix. I'd demo it, but then I would probably want to buy it, and I'm pretty broke. It's on the list, though.

Will definitely check this out. I don't own any glitch plug-ins. I tried using the original in Reaper 64bit, but got too many pops. I only discovered dblue Glitch shortly before I switched to 64bit, so I never got to use it properly. Now I've got to decide between Alloy 2 upgrade, EARebound and this.

been playing around with this, I'm really digging it. I think I prefer it over Effectrix. I like the selection of fx better, they're all a lot of fun to me, whereas I never use about half the ones in Effectrix.

It's pretty much what i wanted Glitch to be all these years.
