It's certainly possible to get this working, I use VSTGUI 3.6 with VSTSDK 2.4 in your system and also XCode 5 on Mavericks. You can compile on the 10.9 SDKs but only with an x64 target (any hint of Carbon and it fails). Adding in the i386 target I can't get above SDK 10.6 (which works just fine in XCode 5) assuming you add the Cocoa and Carbon frameworks, so this is what I use for all my projects. There is a lot of build environment tweaking and a few little hacks here and there from time to time. I'm sorry I don't know what the specific answer to the problem you are having is, but just wanted to say there is light at the end of the extremely frustrating XCode tunnel so keep at it, it is possible to compile this stuff in a modern build environment! The day I got all my projects to build on my MBP that will only run Mavericks I was pretty surprised, I had been contemplating doing everything in a Lion VM at one stage just to allow myself to stay on XCode 3.2.6, bad times - I find XCode 5 a reasonably decent environment compared what came before it on the whole.

Hi guys,
Yesterday night I had a few beers with my friend whose I borrowed the macbook. He will send me screenshots of the xcode linker/compiler parameters. I'll post these as soon as I'll receive it.
