in an effort to save the moderators the trouble, i have deleted the troublesome comments myself. my sincere apologies on causing you what seems to be an inconvenience which resulted in an even more absurd situation: you posting an even more offtopic comments.
thanks nonetheless!

oh, and in your eagerness (it is KVR, after all...?) you should probably get in touch with the two users from page 1 who have mentioned FAW first as being the wors-... the one that will definitely unwin the "best customer service awards".

After he's released product updates, Stephen at Synth Magic takes time to check which of his customers have not yet downloaded them, and send them emails reminding them that they're available in case the announcement emails were lost the first time round.

I have had nightmares about the situation you describe. I had all my serial numbers in a folder in Hotmail but then realized "what if hotmail goes down?". Then I backed everything up to an external hard drive next to my PC (installers and serials). Then I noticed that if someone was going to steal my PC, they would also take the harddrive. So now I have another backup at work and I switch hardrives every few months and update the older one to include everything I got in between. Very time consuming. I also create images of my c drive at the same time and back it up.. For some reason I am not comfortable yet with the idea of The Cloud.

I love my Echo Mona and I got lucky they made a Windows 7 driver for it. It has nice preamps. I will hate the day I have to use it as a door stop. Next time I am buying a nice preamp because preamps don't have expiration dates.

U-he have been excellent and Tone 2 were good also. I find most companies quite good overall.
NI never got back to me with a query I had, so I don't rate them. Same Went for SSL. Again I had a query about a purchase I'd made, and the never got back to me.
