Well, the blind man can compare CDs of DAW demo tracks, not sure about the bear though.Doug1978 wrote:What about to a blind man?Sampleconstruct wrote:Agreed...Lode_Runner wrote:It does.Sampleconstruct wrote:Sunlight looks different in Australia.
Or a bear in the woods?
Reason sound doesn't sell is not true

It is a very fair point.Sampleconstruct wrote:Well, the blind man can compare CDs of DAW demo tracks, not sure about the bear though.Doug1978 wrote:What about to a blind man?Sampleconstruct wrote:Agreed...Lode_Runner wrote:It does.Sampleconstruct wrote:Sunlight looks different in Australia.
Or a bear in the woods?
The bears though: I think they are busy foraging for effective squatting places, tasty fish and the challenges of putting on enough pounds to hibernate?
Sometimes we can all learn a lot from bears.

The number one thing I learned from bears is never get between mama bear and her cub. When they arrive at your garbage can as a family unit, let them exit as a family unit after foraging. Also, bear hugs are great. When not performed by a bear.
perception: the stuff reality is made of.

Maybe Reason sounds so clear, with separation, phatness, and warmth, that all your other DAWs with a "commercial/shit" sound actually are the bad ones.

Darwinism? How did all the animals become a human being everywhere around the globe at the same time?

Apparently you shouldn't run if you see one either, because running makes them mad. Not sure what we can learn from that, but they are smart, especially Yogi bear who is smarter than the average bear.mandolarian wrote:Sage advise.Doug1978 wrote:It is a very fair point.Sampleconstruct wrote:Well, the blind man can compare CDs of DAW demo tracks, not sure about the bear though.Doug1978 wrote:What about to a blind man?Sampleconstruct wrote:Agreed...Lode_Runner wrote: It does.

I think the nice thing about Reason is that it *does* have a unique sound -- and I take it it's because of the mixer and the whole closed system model.
Just about every host software tries to be as neutral as possible when it comes to mixing down, etc. There aren't many hosts on the market that have a unique sounding environment, built-in channel strips for instance. Reason is more of an instrument in that regard and personally, I do like the sound it makes.

Sounds cool. What is wrong with that?deep'n'dark wrote:I feel like it captures my mind and makes me critically following the sound.
Whenever I hear Reason I come
to the conclusion that it IS the best sounding DAW in the World, even if I just play an audio track with no effects at all. Oh I know all the hype about null-tests and theories about eluding oneself into hearing a difference but it just sounds so good, I can not help it. For instance in contrast FL studio, which just sounds so "boltet", "messy" and "complicated" to me even when I make nano-minimalistic techno.
