so at a mix of 50 percent it is only dropping the volume 50%?

Exactly! With a mix of 50%, the audio will drop by 50% (a reduction of 6dB) when the curve is at the bottom line.

I am glad that you like it! Sadly, the space-bar thing is a tricky one..

Smoothing.. if you smooth out too much you will loose precision and tightness. So Nicky and us worked a lot on that and come up with the curves we currently have. Still, I agree, a smooth knob might be a good addition - we'll think about that and will see if more users request it!

In the latest version of VolumeShaper you can find it on the bottom left, it is called "mix". It doesn't look as good as in Kickstart but it does the same thing.

Great plugin! Effective and simple tool for the job. Exactly like the plugin I've used for years now to make simple precise and quick ducking effects. So nothing that original, but the selling point for me is that it's 64bit and just 10 euros.

Edit: Oh, though.. VolumeShaper 3 is only 5 euros more. Maybe I'll consider that instead

Is there a way to get Filtershaper to retrigger via MIDI?

EDIT: Nevermind, turns out it can't.

Looks like I should pick up Volumeshaper, then. Good move there

I've been after a volume LFO that will retrigger via MIDI, since I like a bit of sidechaining but also tend to use syncopated rhythms.

I must say, that flash of purple around the mix knob and it's large size are very aesthetically pleasing. But my dignity/ego is telling me to go with Volumeshaper. No offence, Mr. Romero

Ah now I understand, I thought I had the latest version already but made a mistake with the location I copied the new version to. I also didn't see it listed on the website as a feature so I thought you had decided not to add it. Good to have it thanks for listening!

Pretty cheap solution if you consider other plugins, I'd buy it if I hadn't vengeance / xfer expensive stuff.

A Kickstart that works with filters instead of volume would be fantastic! Better yet, give Kickstart the ability to switch between the two.

? - where in the drum track > bus > (or)master do I place this VST ?

? do I make a send of all other tracks and sidechain that from the drum bus ?
