...if they would just include the Kore software. how long will it take until people will think "oh, it would be so cool to have something like a Reason Combinator or a Live Instrument Rack inside Maschine"

I'm really curious about the official announcement and feature list...

True... But I think that at least Maschine kind of gives you that "hands-on" feel you get with hardware. Personally I consider it a relief to be able to let go of a computer mouse for at least a damn minute or two.

Can you make the lights blink in sync?
If so, it's well worth the price.

No interface, at least when you look at the connections on the back.

screens
black/white model

But the screens are stunning - and I guess is what is keeping the cost price high
Are they touch screens?

...that's true and I'm not arguing with that. It's probably because I'm increasingly annoyed by the marketing and people across the forums reacting to that indicating that their music gets so much better when you're not looking at the screen and not using the mouse. And from what I can see & hear in many videos what music has been created by Maschine users (even in the official promo videos), I sometimes wonder if it may have been better if they'd looked at the screen .
I think you need both and playing one workflow off against the other just serves the marketing hype.

It's just a personal thing. I have to admit I'm not too impressed by the product line (esp. the expansions or the custom kits). I have used Maschine a couple of times, but most of the time it's boxed in the shelves. Though I understand why NI took that path I regret that they did. I would have rather liked it if Maschine would have been developed to become a sophisticated instrument for just samples - with a comprehensive and usable browser, deep editing & programming functions (e.g. round robin samples) and a comfortable audio routing.

The official feature list will decide if I will go for Push. I have a feeling that I'm not the only one torn between Maschine/NI Komplete and Live.

Yes just saw it.

Darn, I wished for inbuilt audio card :( I am looking for a new audio card, maybe in MK5-6? I am gonna wait, the displays look awesome though....But I think the price is a tad high 999Euro, if it was with builtin audio, I could understand....

V.1 owner here.

for me to upgrade even the software it will have to have the major missing features.

1.midi import
2.support midi plugins
3.multitimbral plugin support
4.batch RX2 import
5.either note names or kit piece names in editor
6.real time time stretch
7.real time loop preview/sync (currently doesn't even preview RX2 files)

You would think for that price it would - seems like it would be useful to be able to grab and stretch stuff etc.

Maybe they will do a real Maschine 2 for iOS, not the current toy version.
