Rob Papen Blue and Linplug Albino i very sure for both. What are my favorite synths even Logic ES2 comes with ringmod. and we all should know when ringmod is exactly ringmod is made with sinewave. when thing is exactly correct but this one term which used today wider means what it originally meaned.

With RM the modulating wave has both positive and negative cycles, AM its positive only. So if you multiply your signal with a sine wave sweeping from +1 to -1 that's RM, but if you shift the sine wave up and scale it to sweep from +1 to 0 that's AM.Davias wrote:Sorry for the dumb question that is coming :
What is the difference between RM and AM ? I'm never sure if they are different things or same.
Some synths provide a continuous knob labelled Ring Mod, so you can gradually introduce the modulation: in this case setting the knob halfway up probably produces AM strictly speaking, while RM is the maximum setting.

Thanks for the explanation ! So to me it is basically almost the same thing ^^IIRs wrote:With RM the modulating wave has both positive and negative cycles, AM its positive only.
