I hope this is a stunt designed to grow the user base in preparation for a new version. Rapture used to be one of my favorites, but it's been eclipsed over the years by other synths. Still, it's a solid instrument and for free, it's amazing. I'd just love to see a v2.

I have a feeling that Rapture v2 is on the horizon....

That's what happened with z3ta+...

I really like Rapture and it's one of my essential work horses...

The audio engine is stellar and with some single cycle waveforms (a la Galbanum) and a few choice sfz's,it's a really versatile daily driver...

It's also a great companion to Z3TA+2...

Anybody who can't make great tracks with Rapture should take up some other activity - like knitting or highland dancing
No auto tune...

Anyone know if this issue is supposed to be available in the US yet? I can't find it. Or is it another one of those issues that get stuck in customs, or something, as happens from time to time?

Edit:
Just found it today! Sweet. Thanks CM and Cakewalk.

Bit late on getting this. To me it sounds absolutely awesome. Love the 90s glossy and digitally funky leads. I like my synths dated! Perfect for my new jack swing endeavors, but it seems like it has potential for so mush more.
No crashes in FL11 so far and it's pretty much loaded up on a daily basis :D

Try the Muz3um expansion - it's beyond awesome ;)

Also, I never heard any news about Rapture going 64 bit...did I miss something?

thanks, -M
Was this ever confirmed? Cakewalk's Mac support has been very poor. Shame. Good synth.

Rapture did go 64-bit on Windows, btw. There's no separate installer for it; it was part of an update. Made the re-installation process totally retarded. In that, they were cross platform balanced :-p I really don't know what Cakewalk's problem is with installers. The division of quality between the standalone synths' development and the distribution process is pretty stark. I know Windows installers are convoluted, but come on. Don't be lazy.

Numanoid, just curious: how can a SONAR X3 update (you mean x3e, right?) be for Mac users given that SONAR is Windows only?

Thanks,
