Even at the sales price (Time & Space) I think it is a tad expensive as is it not a Kontakt Player instrument

+1 SynthMagic, HollowSun, Hideaway Studio and Rigid Audio are examples of devs that make libs for Kontakt that are not Kontakt Player compatible.
They are much less expensive than Celestia.

Just got another Easter bonus deal from Time+Space, meaning I can take a further £8.88 off the price of Celesta, as I don't have to pay VAT the final price is £28.12
Not bad, not bad
But still I am on the fence, watching the product vid, I feel I already have this kind of instrument with the Pads lib I bought for Kontakt last year from Insusurro

I have until tomorrow to see if I can fight off the GAS
€38 (or thereabouts) is still a bit of money, and I also hunger for the Sunrizer synth

The plan is to create a Celestia 2 with an all-new engine. We've done some extensive R&D for another upcoming instrument and I know we can knock it out of the park, of course including all the original sound sources with many new ones. It's too early to talk about pricing specifics but there would definitely be an upgrade path and the list price would be similar to Celestia 1's launch price (maybe less)

Sounds great. I do believe Kontakt Player libraries with NKS compatibility are the way to go, confirming Impact Soundworks as one of the finest library providers.

Do you know yet whether or not Celestia 2 will include everything from 1 or will it be it's own thing?zircon wrote:The plan is to create a Celestia 2 with an all-new engine. Super Audio Cart (aforementioned big R&D project) will be NKS compatible. We'd like to go that direction moving forward.Fleer wrote:Sounds great. I do believe Kontakt Player libraries with NKS compatibility are the way to go, confirming Impact Soundworks as one of the finest library providers.
It would have all of the same sound sources and a better engine. We developed a complete 64-slot mod matrix for this upcoming instrument... map any CC, velocity, X/Y pad, custom LFOs etc to any parameter. We'd include tech like that, which will allow for even deeper preset design. The old presets themselves would not be compatible since this would be made from scratch but we would probably try to just recreate them (much like Spectrasonics did with Atmosphere -> Omnisphere)Do you know yet whether or not Celestia 2 will include everything from 1 or will it be it's own thing?
