I was born to it. My mother and three of her brothers were in the "bidness" as stage and session players. Plus two relatives that achieved some fame. So it was always there for me.
What got me into synths was Wendy's "Switched on Bach", Keith Emerson, and Isao Tomita's "Snowflakes Are Dancing". Very expensive interests! Even got an Electronics Tech degree so I could build my own stuff. Burned my fingers soldering but it was worth it. Then Larry Fast's "Synergy", glued my interests to electronic music and "Autobahn", and "Rubycon" kept me from going back to anything else. Goodbye to guitars and trombones for me. It was those German guys that ruined me though with all that sonic coolness. Then Steve Jobs introduced a self contained computer system on the world....
