I keep seeing mentioned in various threads that Ableton Live cannot host 3rd party plugins while Rewired. That's only partially true, when Live is loaded as the slave.

It's really annoying. There's a lag when zooming and the zooming itself is choppy. When I click on regions it often doesn't register. And because there's a lag when clicking (and releasing a click) and dragging, often actions involving a modifier key don't register. For instance, the common option + drag often simply results in moving the region, not making a duplicate. I never experienced anything like that in Logic 9.TheoM wrote: ahh ok never had even a minor gui slowing here.. machine is 3 years old with dedicated 1gb 6750 graphics, nothing special. That must be maddening for you.. what a shame!
That's on a 2.5Ghz i5 Mini Mac with 8Gb RAM. Surely that should be enough to at least get a smooth UI experience?

Yes, that should be sufficient.
Hell, sounds like Sonar GUI glitches to me. Terrible to think this is in my future with Logic X. Better GUI behavior is why I'm running TO Logic (I hear the annoying click-hold behavior of the plugin bins was fixed in X, but not the non-standard menu buttons in the editors; sigh).
