This is a great synth with a lot of options, I like the oscillator page, the routing at the bottom there. The presets focus on soft pads, but it can do a lot more.

I'm posting my 2 questions again in the hope someone might answer them...Tricky-Loops wrote:May I ask 2 things:
1. Whenever I load a new bank, a message pops up with "All presets will be overwritten, do you want to continue?" What does it mean, if I saved a preset before, will it be deleted?
2. There are some "samples" in the OSC popup-menu. Does it mean that it can load WAV files as OSC waves, and if, how can I load them? I don't see any button for loading WAV files...

Happy news for me. Thanks for releasing this as freeware!
I remember it from when it was new.. the modulation possibilities were interesting.
Tricky-Loops: I think '1' means all presets in the preset buffer are going to be overwritten. I don't think it means your presets are being wiped from your hard disk drive. But you can make a sample bank and confirm for us. :cP

So - as I get no answer to my second question - I assume that user WAVs cannot be loaded and only the included waveforms can be used (similar to DUNE 1)?

Do as me... I've just reversed back to Windows 7!SampleScience wrote:The installer doesn't work in Windows 8. It freeze. Will it work if I just install the dll?
I was really fed up with that crappy Windows 8. It's been a long time that I wanted to get back to Seven, and finally I've just done it that weekend. Two days to backup all my documents but also crowds of parameters, then reverse to Windows 7, and finally reinstall everything, but you can be sure... I'm happy to have done it!!!

Windows 8 with all its insane features that nobody didn't want is as crappy as was Millenium 13 years before!

By the way it seems that in Windows 9 Microsoft is going to renounce to impose their Metro (leaving it as an option only) with all its mountains of bugs and f**king new behaviors. And many things which were in the quotidian use of Windows 7 and had disappeared in Windows 8...

...will probably come back in Windows 9. Never in the history there have been so many people who have installed a distribution of Linux (of bought an Apple) than since the release of Windows 8, and it is one of the less sold editions in the past 15 years. I follow with much interests some forums and blogs like this one.
Sorry for all these funny smileys... but it helps to unwind.

I can't try for the moment, having not yet reinstalled my DAW, but I'll try.Tricky-Loops wrote:So - as I get no answer to my second question - I assume that user WAVs cannot be loaded and only the included waveforms can be used (similar to DUNE 1)?
And perhaps you can try... by replacing one of the samples provided by one of yours.
I must confess that I have yet never tried to use the samples with it.

Sorry for the late answer, I'm currently not so frequently online.
About your questions:
1) The warning message maybe is misleading. It simply means "Do you really want to discard any change you applied to the data in memory?"
2) There were plans in the past to include some soundfont player engine into the OSC, but the way the OSC work internally is not suited for playback of complete waves. The naming "sample" for some of the OSC waveforms has a simple background: I created them sampling + postprocessing some sound I recorded elsewhere. As the shape of the curves is not a well known one (such as SAW or SINE) neither another type which can be described geometrically, mathematically etc. (like CIRCLE), I decided to just name them "sample".

Hi, SampleScience!SampleScience wrote:The installer doesn't work in Windows 8. It freeze. Will it work if I just install the dll?
It should work installing just the dll. However, you will lose the skins, the manual etc.
I uploaded a "manual install version" to my website. It includes all the files the installer will copy to the destination folder (= your VST plugin folder). You can use that zip file to try a manual installation. Just unpack the files into your VST plugin folder. You can download it here:
http://www.mark-henning.de/files/am/Ana ... lSetup.zip
As I don't have access to a Windows 8 computer, it would be nice to have some feedback, whether the manual installation works there.

Hey, this skin is totally cool! I definitely like it! May I place a link to it (including the screenshot you provided there) onto my website? It's also fine to place a link to your website instead of the deep link to the file.idfpower wrote:Here's a new skin for AnaMark![]()
