You´re not happy, when you can´t spoil a thread?

Post

Is the price ridiculous? Yes. Am I damn impressed after watching the Entropy EQ video? Absolutely. If this were half its current price it'd be adored.

Post

+1. I’d consider buying it for $199 /150 range but the current cost is simply insane. The tools are very powerful and well-designed but even if they would be capable of mixing while I’m taking a nap they would still be unbelievably expensive, especially, in today’s economic climate.

It's just not my kind of humor and I find it inappropriate in informative threads.
:D

Oh, this thread is informative? All I see is gushing praise without solid backup and a good dose of scepticism, along with the usual shenanigans. Why no tech specs, audio demos, inside info, something tangible? Until then, humor is a welcome antidote to words like "revolutionary".

Swarovski edition, heh heh. :hihi:

Post

"Gushing praise"? Maybe... "good dose of skepiticism"? Dunno - what kind of information is it that you miss? If you expect them to reaveal much about their revolutionary new technology behind it, you might be bound to be disappainted. And why should the potential customer care HOW they do it? You can watch the videos and you can try the demo - what more do you want?

I don?t get you.

What I think is much rather the case is that the average KVR user is only fiddling around why synth-plugs and not (or just rarely) doing any audio-recordings. In this case this plugin is of course NOT for you. Move along folks, nothing to see. Why spoil a thread abouzt a plugin that is not relevant to your way of making music at all?

Post

Okay, I'll clarify: you and PhilG didn't bring anything substantial to this thread either (apart from the info and link in the first place, thanks for that), but you put others down for doing the same thing, only with the signs reversed. Yuck and poo-poo to that. But you seem to love asserting your imagined superiority over others, so carry on. We'll continue with the jokes in return, deal?

Here's something of substance: http://www.bonedo.de/artikel/einzelansi ... -test.html

This was linked on their website and features audio examples of treatments on a Rhodes and a full drum kit. The demonstrations are quite interesting and to my ears pretty convincing. I especially like the way it attenuates/boosts reverberation - sounds more "musical" and natural than the de-reverbs I've heard.

"Revolutionary"... I'd be careful with words like that. We have tools like Unveil, RX3/4, Voxengo Soniformer... that all do different things, but they're pretty similar in in their practical application.

I never heard a convincing separation of harmonic and enharmonic parts of a sound before. what other plugins could do this? Sure, I could have a go in Reafir, but it's not automatic and the results I got with it never satisfied me (which is why I don't use it anymore - it turned out to be not much more than a huge waste of time for me) - this is surely mainly my own lack of a ability when it comes to adequately adjusting Reafir, but this thing appears to automatically recognize the elements adequately. It has some artificial intelligence. Too much of bow-scratch in a cello recording? More snare in a snare-drum recording? Remove the buttons-noise in an Autoharp recording? This might even change the way we make recordings (e.g. just one mic for the snare drum instead of two).

Post

This is a great plugin but as others have said, its damn expensive and for me, the videos do not sell the plugin enough to warrant the high expenditure.

I love the interface, and I love the functionality, one to keep an eye on for the future.

Post

If I still made a good portion of my income mixing and mastering other people's music then I would buy this thing in a heartbeat. It's doing things that are achievable with other cheaper software but doing them fast and doing them well. I doubt they will have any trouble selling this to studios everywhere on earth, but especially post production studios that constantly have to clean up poor site recordings for film. In these situations time is very much equal to money any this plugin is worth less than an hour to them so I think they will do fine if they can get the word out and it runs stably on a wide variety of platforms.

There are video demos.

It works great for mastering. Amazing.

There is also a demo version of the software.
