Stumbling across this thread alerted me to the fact that ImpOSCar2 was on sale. Demoed it a while back and loved it but it was just a tad outside my price range at the time but, at 50% off, I just couldn't resist!!
Absolutely love it. A really great synth with it's own very distinctive character. As far as updates are concerned, who cares? It works, it's great and (for me anyway) I'd say it's feature complete.

Not that I am aware there are outstanding bugs, I just find its development stagnant.
Its stagnant in the sense that anything which is complete is stagnant.
Welcome to modern times. The only thing that gets completed is you when you die. Everything else is supposed to be a work in progress... or "abandonware." Funny how people sold off Absynth when it got bought by Apple as if somehow it was now dead. We're probably better off in caves as a species, but here we are. 8)

That said, I bought it but I wish they'd do a UI touch up on it. I find it tiny and hard on the eyes. Same with Oddity2. I might get it at some point in the future, but to be honest it's one of those modern synths that is based on a vintage synth... unless it serves the programmers to be otherwise. I like this approach, but when obvious stuff is passed on I find myself scratching my head. For me, the obvious omission is aftertouch. They added it to impOSCar 2, but not to Oddity 2. Why? The OSCar didn't have an aftertouch keyboard, did it? (sorry it's been a long while) Is there really a reason to leave this out in 2015, or whenever Oddity 2 was released. So, complete they may be, but I feel that with a few improvements they could go from "very good" to "great" plug ins.

If sir had one less absinthe he'd realise he meant alchemy ;)

"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

You do know there are three sizes of GUI available from within impOSCar2? Just open the CC menu, pick large and relaunch.

What is the possibility of Imposcar 3?
Imposcar comes in 2010. I remember this one in 2010:
http://rekkerd.org/gforce-software-anno ... -out-sale/

So now we have 5 years after, very possible that a complete new version will coming soon or this year.

I feel like Minimonsta2 would be more likely to release first.

Yesterday?
impOSCar2 changes in version 2.0.3 (Release 2.6.2015)
thanx for reporting the update...
Mod Destinations buttons/lights have been modified, wasn't the colour-coding better before? weird.

Anyway, since on Win8.1/Reaper I'm having an issue, right mouseclick on the gui and the pointer disappears behind Reaper's window.
Not something I do on purpose, but it's a small showstopper.

I am afraid that it will not has any bug fixes / enhancement until v3. Your thought ?
I've fixed every bug that's been reported to me, and will continue to do so. The reason there haven't been many bug fix updates is that either there aren't bugs, or they're not getting reported.

Argh!

You're using the large GUI I assume?

I took the opportunity of the release to clean up some redundant and misnamed bitmaps that had accumulated during GUI development, and it looks like an old version of that button slipped through.

Looks like 2.0.4 may be coming sooner than expected!

I just tried that here and can't replicate it. Could you send a detailed report direct to GForce please and I'll see if I can replicate it. Thanks.

After reading this thread I finally tried the Imposcar 2 demo - WOW! Excellent synth! :tu:

imposcar 2 (1 as well) have the best resonance filter imo.
The unison sounds great too.
Love this synth.
Easy to program as well.

I love the filter too. I didn't end up purchasing v2 though because Omnisphere includes the filter, licensed from GMedia as the "Power" filter.
Feel free to call me Brian.
