You can easily fix that by applying strong distortion to your left ear 8)
I am not going to apply a EQ treble boost to the left stereo channel.

I want a natural way to restore my hearing.
but that might not be possible (not saying his idea was good, like compy said...not funny at all). in my almost dozen years here at KvR I have preached this over and over...take care of your ears. Now what you need to do is see a doctor, not me, not a bunch of faceless people on an internet forum, you need to talk with a professional. It's quite possible all the steps you take to clean your ears has actually just forced the wax in deeper and is building up more, it's possible that something happened that caused serious damage, it's possible it is nothing to worry about at all...none of us here (even if one is a doctor) is capable of answering that on a forum...you need to see a doctor.

I understand not wanting to see a doctor as I have a phobia of doctors that is way over the top, but if I had what you describe my fear of losing my passion would likely override that and I would be seeing a doctor.

Naturally I wish the best for you and I hope you keep us posted, but please get yourself checked out :)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Echoing what others have said: go to a doctor. I had my ears cleaned out once (about 15 years ago), with a fancy apparatus at a doctor's office, and it was a revelation. I felt like I could hear things I never heard before. Of course, that was because my hearing had been clogged up by the wax... :)

Best advice so far beside visiting a doctor.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Seriously... did you go to a specialist yet?

I had a sudden case of severe vertigo last year and wobbled my way through until it mostly went away. While it was passing my left ear lost all hearing and developed a strong constant tinnitus. :( By the time I wised up and went to the doctor there was nothing to be done (we tried many things) and I am deaf in my left ear to this day. After some major down time due to frustration and depression about losing my stereo hearing ability, I am back to making music but the experience will never be for me what it once was.

I'm told that some remedies may be effective (steroids, for example) if administered soon enough after the onset of symptoms. Too late for me. Perhaps not for you.

Waiting is not worth the risk .. go see a specialist asap.

Really? How is that even possible?
I swear I'm not making that up. It was a jack for powered speakers and I blew up my best earphones. Curiosity killed the cat and my earphones.

I can't not comment on a thread about hearing damage: go see a specialist. Stop screwing with your ear(s). Protect what hearing you have left.

I think what i need is hair cell regeneration.

Wow, even when its your health, you'd rather maintain the same pointless pattern as any other thread of yours...

JIH : "Oh, this thing has gone wrong"
KVR : "Here's what you can do"
JIH : "Im just going to ignore everything anyone has said and expect reality to change instead"
An idiot on Set Theory:

Should you say.

I think what you need is a smack over the head, with a hearing aid from the early 1800s - think Beethoven.

"Cell Regeneration" (as in form of hearing regeneration/regrow of hair cells in the cochlea) - maybe in 50 years - if ever!

So did you go to a specialist now or not?
I'm surprised that the stories by TonyCarver and me didn't scare you enough yet.

I can almost guarantee it's wax build-up, not a doctor but I'd wager that's what they'll tell you. Then, they'll write you a script for some peroxide compound.

Save yourself some time and just go to the pharmacy, get some hydrogen peroxide and put a few drops in your ear. Lay down with the ear containing the peroxide facing up and remain there until the fizzing has stopped or reduced substantially; have a towel ready for when you sit up and the wax-laden peroxide dribbles out, gross. Enjoy your HD-hearing.

Again, I'm not a doctor and your doctor will be able to help you more than I can.
Hey! Check out my first plug-in (Haa5) at http://www.apexaudio.org Sounds great, and it's just $10 (or free, or whatever price you want to pay)!

Health advice from the internet

"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

I think what you need is a completely new brain.

Maybe the next week if the hearing loss has not recovered by itself.

Very mature indeed.
If(!) you follow my posts on KVR on the topic "hearing" and "loudness", you should know(!) that I preach to take care of your ears.

But no, I need a complete new brain. Which is why I went to the specialist 2 days post my last hearing issues. As AE, I can't afford to loose my hearing. If you can do that... fine with me.

You have the chance and power to take care of that issue, but you lack the will. You rather believe in "natural healing" and continue to abuse your ears - blame it on the software developer that "caused this" even.

Then complaints from your side are unadjusted from now on. You have to live with the outcome, not we (or rather those that are taking care of our ears).

Good luck with your health.
Personally, I wouldn't gamble with it.
