Thanks for the link and short explanation.

But still, it's all technicalities. At the end, does it make a difference for the ears, or who cares?

Sound engineers likely does, it has obviously something to do with stereo spreading and diffusion, subtle
differences

I've tried rendering to audio in REAPER - same result of Fog not "imprinting" its effect onto the audio.
Presumably its a REAPER problem ?

I tracked the bug. It happens only on Windows and only with some DAWs. Uploading a new version as I type.

Update v1.0.2
– Fixed Windows compatibility issues
– Added “Import IR Folder”

You can now import your own IR folders (.WAV) as banks inside Fog Convolver.
Click on More -> Import IR Folder and choose your IR folder. A sub-folder with the .atp presets will be automatically generated.
You can organize your IRs in sub-folders, each subfolders will be added as a Category. After that you can add tags, author details and rating by manually saving each preset.

To update Fog Convolver please re-download it using the link provided in your "Delivery Information" email.
You may also update it downloading the demo, just be sure not to install the Factory Bank as it will be a lite version.

Installation Failed on 10.8.5

Installer bombs right at the end of the install.

Me too, same OS. So I went back and just the vst plugin installed ok. The data file installed the first time but the vst can't find the data. So I just dropped IRs from the data into the vst... until the next fix comes.

That's what happen when you don't sleep enough...

There was a problem with the path of the demo Factory bank.

Demo installers updated!
Please download again and perhaps remove the (probably) corrupted demo Factory Bank.
For MAC users is in /Library/Application Support/AudioThing

There is no Import IR Folder under the More menu on the version I just downloaded. There is in the + under banks but when I add another IR Folder there nothing shows up. Is this a DEMO limitation?

Yes, this is a DEMO limitation as you can't save the presets anyway in DEMO mode.

Importing entire IR Folders and a way to rate those presets goes a long ways. Will need to try the demo, but I love your work and am still a big fan of Organetta.

Like others have mentioned, I also have quite a few convo plugins, but as you mentioned... the interface is usually quite clumsy in those other plugins.

It seems quite a few people are new to creative uses of convo plugs, and of course Diego Stocco's videos are great but I was going to post links to Spirit Canyon Audio's collection of IR's. They however, seemed to have closed up shop over the years. They had quite the collection of creative IR's that really were an eye-opener on what convolution engines could do.

Anyone know what happened to Spirit Canyon Audio?
