New from Klevgränd: Kuvert (Envelope Shaper)

Thanks for the clarification sbj, I must admit I didn't check the manual. I'm glad it's there, especially that alt-click to smooth the envelope. Though even then it appears to work only by holding the key down first and then mousing around, which I find counter-intuitive if I'm already adjusting something. Their other plugins don't seem to have the functionality though, and I think it's quite a glaring omission (for example trying to reset the pitch fine tuning by ear on their monosynth made me lose interest in the synth).
On the other hand, some of their plugins don't come with manuals and with their delay for example, it's left to the user to find out how to adjust the feedback of a delay line (and with that plugin, adjusting the delay time on the fly kills the sound in the delay buffer, making it quite useless if one wants to adjust the delay time and not just have it set at one position).
I think if they would spend a little more time fine-tuning the user experience (which already seems important to them by looking at their novel interfaces), they could be a really interesting company. Who knows, maybe they will do that in the future. Even though I'm not an iOS user, it's interesting that by default they support that as well.

I just heard back from the dev. They say they are looking into the GUI problems and will get back to me asap.thecontrolcentre wrote:GUI doesn't appear correctly here. Bits of the graphics are missing and some controls aren't visible until I click on the interface. I'm having issues with Kuvert, R0verb and VanDelay not displaying properly. Am running Live 9.5, WIN 8.1 i7 24gb RAM.
Anyone else getting this?

Ah, you reported basically the same thing to them ... sorry, I overlooked it.thecontrolcentre wrote:I just heard back from the dev. It seems the entire palette of vst`s can become a problem for older gfx cards or systems,
I remember to had the same gui issue with demo of a compressor (not sure exactly what it was).
Atm I`m interested in Kuvert only and don`t want to mess with current setup,
did you give a try with other vst`s by chance ?

Anybody know the resell policy of Klevgränd, if they gfx issues I'm experiencing isn't ironed out, I would be happy to pass it along.Omkar wrote:It seems the entire palette of vst`s can become a problem for older gfx cards or systems, I remember to had the same gui issue with demo of a compressor (not sure exactly what it was).
I've had GFX issues with Replika also that haven't got sorted out with updates, so my hopes are not high.

I am having issues with Kuvert, R0verb and VanDelay not displaying correctly. My computer is only a few months old and has had no problems with any other vst (or any other software).Omkar wrote:Ah, you reported basically the same thing to them ... sorry, I overlooked it.thecontrolcentre wrote:I just heard back from the dev. I see, did a copy+paste of comp specs to signature, thecontrolcentre wrote: I am having issues with Kuvert, R0verb and VanDelay not displaying correctly. My computer is only a few months old and has had no problems with any other vst (or any other software).
obviously the ancient gfx card is my issue here,
does still a great job unless devs do operate too much with open gl.
Having a reference with Eiosis AirEQ, which was causing gfx issues as well,
became greatly improved and now works with the card even using genuine W7 drivers,
my impression on Klevgränd products is, coming from innovative usage with ios units,
the backward equipment compatibility on pc units went under the radar on programming.
Maybe essentially on the gfx section.
Hope the dev follows invitation to join here to sort out all questionsNumanoid wrote: Anybody know the resell policy of Klevgränd, if they gfx issues I'm experiencing isn't ironed out, I would be happy to pass it along.
like those of Numanoid as well.
While one can become a good overview on Stockholm,
nothing seems to be online like an EULA and reselling options.

Oh great another site that uses that useless SELZ interface - it takes me to what is supposedly a 'Paypal' site that doesn't even seem to know my correct card details.

Hi all!
We're currently trying to solve the graphics / UI problem with Kuvert, and might have come up with a solution. Since we're not able to replicate the problem on our machines, we cannot be 100% sure whether it works or not.
If you're having problems with graphics glitching (or getting a black UI window), drop an email to support@klevgrand.se and we'll send you a new build.
Very sorry for the inconvenience.

The new demo you sent solved the problem (at least with my old card) and works well,
tested with multiple instances on one track.
If you find the time would be nice to see comments on other reported issues.

Thanks. The build I sent you hopefully fixes all graphics issues on Windows. We'll update the packages (demo/commercial) on the web after a few more tests just to make sure we didn't break anything. We'll update our other products aswell, this might take a couple of days though.Omkar wrote: Hi Johan, thanks for joining, appreciated.

I've read this thread and I'm afraid I cannot answer questions about financial issues personally; I just create the stuff and have (luckily) nothing to do with our sales systems etc. If you have any questions, send them to support@klevgrand.se and Sebastian will try to sort it out.
We do update our plug-ins

But an EULA and reselling options could be discussed / published ?sundhage wrote:Thanks. The build I sent you hopefully fixes all graphics issues on Windows. We do update our plug-insUntil now there's only been minor bugfixes / changes that we didn't announce to others than the buyers, but that will most probably change. We've got quite a few good ideas for how Kuvert can evolve for example...

I emailed you last week about gui problems with several of your plugins. I haven't received a new link. Should I email support again?sundhage wrote:Hi all!
