This sounds fantastic, and thanks to the awesome GUI it is easy to tweak which is a big plus for a VST.

One sour note was that it locked up SONAR solid while i was messing around with the controls, tweaking a patch at random... hopefully that's going to be a rare occurrence, otherwise I won't have the guts to use it in a real project.

Kudos.

Dear all, dear Martin,

I installed the update of PG-8X on Mac 10.9 / Ableton Live 9.5.
Unfortunately I am facing the problem that every access to the presets followed
by the opening of the file window Live 9.5 crashes completely.

Can you help on this issue ?

Thomas "redwave" Hermann

ok- so here is the big question- can it talk to a Jx8P? I have one that I would LOVE to tweak via the UI.

Programming the JX-8P without the separate programmer sucks, so your wish makes sense :)

I wish it were easier to find a pg-800 on ebay...

It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!

Have you posted a WTB ad on KVR?

Have you tried this MIDI editor: https://www.squest.com/Products/MidiQue ... index.html Stupid American Pig? It also functions as a VST plugin. :)

It refuses description, allowing only the vague approach of adjectives: dark, light, raw, angelic. Who or what is making these noises? Where are they coming from and what do they point to? What kind of entity can leave such a troubling sonic remnant?

Me too, several times.
Can you describe in more detail in which situation that occurred? Which Operating system, host are you using, and what were you doing when the hanging notes occurred?

Thanks,
Martin

Yes, it can. Click on the 'MIDI' button, and then set the SEND SYSEX to ON. Make sure the PG-8X is on the same MIDI channel as the hardware, and that your host is not filtering out Sysex.

Likewise, the PG-8X responds to Sysex sent from a JX-8P, e.g. when using the pg-800.

Cheers,
Martin

Thank you very much.

BTW is it possible to set a default preset bank?
Yes, you can define it in the PG-8X.ini file. If the file was not created automatically, just create one by hand, in the same directory where the plugin lives.

Martin

Could you, please, give me more info? Is it Win or Mac, 32 or 64, and which controls were creating the problem. Can you reproduce it?

Thanks,
Martin
