Seems the graphics for the tuning controls are disappearing even more often in v1.2 when randomized.

Another thing I'd like to see is a Dry Level control, or maybe just turn the Level control to a Dry/Wet crossfader.

You re-download 1.2 ? Just i had the same issue before, but in latest 1.2 revision (without number change) this issue it seems was fixed. (In S1 v2 at least)Sound Author wrote:Seems the graphics for the tuning controls are disappearing even more often in v1.2 when randomized.
Hmm i agree, i thought that "Depth" fader is the same, but no.Sound Author wrote:Another thing I'd like to see is a Dry Level control, or maybe just turn the Level control to a Dry/Wet crossfader.

Dry/Wet crossfader in the next version will be available, as well as other interesting ideas.Sound Author wrote:Another thing I'd like to see is a Dry Level control, or maybe just turn the Level control to a Dry/Wet crossfader.

I know there are tons of "normal" arps and seqs around but I would really love an "only-arp/seq" version of brandulator cause it is just so nice and useable.
Imagination: Brandulator Arp - Marazmator - Brandulator Effekt
Think you would not need much more to make any kind of strange to nice ambient kind of song

The demos do not play for me on their site. I also couldn't find any vids or wavs/mp3s anywhere as to what this thing sounds like. Any other sound/video links I could try?

Sounds neat! with my transport playing. Seems like delay-based, under 200 ms, and some filters. A shining star! All right

Hi, I just tried the plugin and it is very interesting indeed. Compliments are definitely in order. I have one small suggestion that would make it more practical imho: would it be possible to make the root key not change when changing presets. Setting the root key after each preset change quickly becomes cumbersome if you're scrolling through them to see what they sound like on your material - less clicks is always better. If root key setting being part of a preset is potentially important, then maybe add a simple switch to allow/disallow a preset to change it. You could call the switch "lock" for example, since it would lock the root key at what it was manually set.
All the best with your plugin and otherwise, cheers.

His site I do not have, and upload to other sites is not possible.

Just root key is not changed. You can check this by using major chords. In the arsenal there are about 300 different scales, and not all fall to the desired key, for example, major and minor pentatonic sound differently in the same root key, not to mention the ethnic and like ragas/mels.liquidklik wrote:Hi, I just tried the plugin and it is very interesting indeed. Thanks for the answer vasyan, but it seems to me there might be a slight misunderstanding here. Unless I'm mistaken, you are talking about changing the scales (of which there are 300+) by using the button with the note icon which is placed in the bottom left of the plugin's window. You are of course correct, changing those does not change the root key, but they obviously sound different.
However I was talking about changing the plugin's presets in the upper right part of the plugin: "Hyper flanger", "Octave flanger", "3 semi flanger", etc. All of these presets are set to a root key of C, they differ only on which C (C0-C10). Now my problem comes if my tune is in D# for example. When I go through these presets to check if any fits me, I have to set the root key on each preset change back to D#, because loading the preset reverts it to C. I realize that storing the octave in the preset makes sense (they can sound very different up & down the keyboard), but perhaps only the octave could be stored and not the note? So that the D# in my example wouldn't be changed on each preset change to C, but it would only change between D#0-D#10.
Btw I also noticed that upon reopening a saved project, the correct root key is indeed set, but if you then change the octave with the up/down keys in the bottom left, the root key again jumps back to C. Once you set the root key manually again, changing the octave works correctly and doesn't change the note anymore. I hope I was clear enough this time and I made myself understood

The root key is installed and stored in the corresponding preset. The root key is the default C4 always. In future versions of Brandulator will be extended convenience to work with presets.liquidklik wrote:Thanks for the answer vasyan, but it seems to me there might be a slight misunderstanding here. This was my experience, too. What a treat. I have not stopped playing with it. Thank you for offering such a creative toolstudio4 wrote:Wow, this is really nice. I was using Resomatic as a similar effect, but Brandulator is way more advanced and very CPU efficient. Great stuff! Thanks
