I'm not a big fan of having all those extra softwares on my computer, but, gotta admit that it makes installing and updating the plugins really easy.

Post

I have it installed from before, but anybody else needing to update their Cakewalk Command Center at this time

The update means I need to restart my computer.

I am thinking that this freebie is an insentive to update

NB: Anybody using CCC for the first time, remember to go into settings and set the desired path you want the plug to be installed to. If not, it will just be installed to the default folder

I wrote that it can be authorized offline, but its a bit of a hassle. OTOH, with CCC, it's "click'n go". I am becoming a fan of these "authorization centers". When they work well, they are really a "time saver".

Just found out that Cakewalk is giving away for free their plugin emulation of LA-2A.
Here is the link.

Enjoy!

Professional technicians are assessed by the abilities they possess.
Amateur technicians are assessed by the tools they possess - and the amount of those tools, with an obvious preference to the latest hyped ones.

Probably because you have set french as the language during the installation.

It doesn´t seem to be displaying non english characters well.

Absolutely, way too much hassle. I mean, it took me nearly 2 minutes to install and activate. And that was offline too. Yeah, I totally wish I had aborted that :D

Seriously, it's not much hassle.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

do not give up.
this way is simple:

So Command Center is not needed? I can´t seem to find a direct download link for the plugin, only for Command Center.

With Command Center you activate it online. If you don't want to install it just go into My Products, click on the plugin's name and it will redirect you to a page with the download link to the latest version of the plugin. Install that one and in your daw load the plugin. You'll see a button on the right with an arrow pointing down. Click on it and choose Offline Activation -> Export. You use that file on their website to generate a file that you'll have to import it through the same menu Offline Activation but this time use Import. And done!

Command Center is like a 117MB download.

While the plug itself is just about 19MB

So for those not already using CCC, would be nice to be able to just install the plug

No need for their Command Center. Enter your details, but do not download from the following page. Instead go to you account and download the offline installer there. Then activate offline.

As I have Cakewalk account it was immediately added alongside my other products and the offline download and install procedure is same as with Z3TA+2.

I liked simple serial of earlier Cakewalk products better but it's not that bad. Though I have had some problems with Z3TA+2 authorization before.

EDIT: The biggest problem is that I'm not sure I care about another compressor even tough I haven't got any CA-2A type emulations.

Is it only 64bit for Windows? Thanks ... I see it installs 64 but don't see no 32 (which I use).

Update: I downloaded the Installer instead and it gave me the option for both.

Didn't it gave you an option for 32 or 64-bit? I think you have to re-run the installer.

If you get the installer from the Cakewalk website, in your account, you get an option to install 32-bit or 64-bit. I didn't see that option when you install it via the Command Center. I guess it installs the Version which applies to your OS then, 32- or 64-bit.
