Yep,

I update the video, the sound card on both boots.

Maybe I need to roll back the video update on the music boot. I have not updated windows on the music boot for ages. It isn't on the web.

How do I update windows with a boot that isn't hooked up to the web? I must download them and install, but where so I download them from?

Just keep in mind that if the test comes up clean doesn't always mean the ram is good or bad.

Yes...but I have found that it's an easy first step to take. Bad RAM can cause issues that can look like other hardware/software issues. If you haven't done so already, get memtest86 and give it a go for a few hours and see if any errors come up.

One more thing. Take a look at the capacitors on your motherboard. If they are bulging/leaking, this may be the culprit -- it's definitely not a good thing. There have been cheap capacitors going onto a lot of motherboards (even machines from IBM) that fail. I have been able to get free replacement motherboards for my clients in this case even if the machine is out of warranty...

Took out my Ram and cleaned it...
So far so good...

I've seen a simple cleaning and reseating fix more problems....

I discovery I have a dual-channel mother board, so I'm looking into that next week.
