Let's save election talk for HPC please and thank you :)
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

The only thing I want besides bug fixes is an enlarged GUI (not flattened!!!). It's a great synth that doesn't need to be meddled with. Absynth, however, could use some more GUI assistance aside from being enlarged, but that synth is not the thread subject.

The problem companies find themselves in with good products is keeping income constant. When they get bigger, they need more overhead. They then need more income to keep profit margins... Etc.

Find a sweet spot and stay there, small businesses :-)

There's a good chance you'll get a U-he Repro-5 before that happens!

However, I would also be completely ok if they continued to focus on Reaktor and Kontakt. I'd really like it if they merged the products in some way. I would love to build instruments for Kontakt that started with Kontakt groups but allowed the use of Reaktor modules. At the very least I hope that they update the filters in the next Kontakt release.
How do you feel about Reaktor 6?
Is that a serious question? I'm not sure what you're trying to get at, as opposed to Reaktor 5.x, or, in what sense?

NI is gonna have to make an FM9 for me to be interested in it at all.

Too clunky. Would rather just use Operator with its amazing new filters. It's just so much quicker to radically transform the sound, I won't even bother installing FM8 at this point. When I have a few bucks to throw around, I think Tangle will make this even more true.

Post

I was thinking, and realized that the great plugin synths I know
only have one "serious" gui change update (e.g Sylenth, Z3TA+, Imposcar, Arturia Synths, now Predator...)
So FM8 already had that great update when NI created FM8 from FM7, and it's a bit unreal to think they will create another version.

Of course I don't see the future ... yet :)

On the other hand in its current form, FM8 is quite good,
and if you want it to cover the whole screen, then use windows magnifier (if you're a windows user).

Post

Wow, just realized windows 10 magnifier can do color inversion :)

Idk about that, judging by the releases, NI is the company continuously pushing the limits of modern synthesis, introducing new ways to access sound- definitely the most interesting recent releases.

We don't want to have to load Reaktor to use a synth or load Guitar Rig to use an effect...

We want direct access to synths and effects - not some convoluted route..
Lol. If I want to use Prism, I just click enter on the Instrument Rack. Same worked even in second-rate host like Reaper. Just like any other synth, only required to save it as rack once. I use my "finished" Reaktor ensembles and FX chains like this, no difference to any other plugins.

While I don't own FM8 or Absynth, I do agree that updated versions of them would be due, and quite likely interest new users as well as please owners.

I think FM9 is right behind that in schedule. :hihi:

They put those Monark filters and oscillators in as macros for building. Yes it is a Reaktor ensemble, but it's the first time. And it could go farther, maybe.

I was just musing about about having Reaktor open other instruments in its shell. Like FM8 and Absynth. Like you said, I think

Well, that's YOUR opinion. Because there are so few people doing emulations and updating filters nowadays, that we are in desperate need for more. :hihi:

OTOH, FM8 has all the features an FM synth can have, like for example those we could find on the SY series, or the FS1R, to just name two illustrious FM successors done by Yamaha.
