I also have Sylenth, Dune2, and all the U-he stuff (amongs others). So despite what some experts might say I surely wouldn't need another synth to cover every sound physically possible. (I also have Oscilot which is a Max4live fully modular synth as well, but can't really use it because of my ancient CPU).recursive one wrote:Sure, sylenth alone cant cover all these bases. I named it as the usual suspect for making squelchy acid lines which are more than a half of the karma presets. Spire is far more versatile synth, having fm, extensive modmatrix and stuff. I also have zebra and Dune2 to boot. I understand that none of them, maybe except for zebra, is really comparable as they have fixed architecture, but generally i prefer modmatrix to patching virtual cables.
So basically the question is what karma can do which none of the above synths can.
On the other hand, i think none of the above synths can sound exactly the same.
Spire was too CPU-heavy for my system, and it is also in another price range. I also didn't like the patching, too much clicking on tabs and stuff.
But it's not always about all those 'hard' facts, so I decided to buy this thing, as it may give me some inspiration.
I also like 303 sounds, and the rather low CPU hit.
So thanks guys for your imput!
