It's actually quite nice not having to copy paste f**king serial numbers all day and all night when things are iLok'd but I guess to each his own.

Wow! Loss of one's liberty? Pasting serial numbers all f****** day and night? Thank God I don't have those problems. I must have some sort of magical ILok or something that prevents me from going through such insurmountable hardships.

So copy/paste the serial to the same folder that you backup the installers to.shroom81 wrote:Did you and you're brain part ways in Lalaland ?![]()
When one has tons of software it really dose suck browsing websites and searching emails for all those serials..
Crisis averted.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

yeah I understand your point, it is true, but this doesn't means we should accept certain procedures, for instance, many of the devices and even many of our pc's have license, at the same time you know you have your product and you're not under the control of the company by itself, those are very different points. the companies have to protect their stuffs and is ok, what I don't like is give my keys in the power of others because is not right, one license never should means dependency of the company on the execution of any product. ones you buy it the best thing is save it and preserve your software with you...Sampleconstruct wrote:Software is not "owned", it's licensed.

Par for the course brother. I have tons of software and never have to do that. Your serials are stored on the ilok once you send them there from your account and you never have to put them on again. You can use 500 computers and still not have to copy and paste a serial. I don't get why you're saying you have to search through tons of emails for your serials and "having to copy paste f**king serial numbers all day and all night when things are iLok'd". When do your "things" get iLok'd? What is iLok'd? Please tell me. O' please tell me. Pretty please?shroom81 wrote:Did you and you're brain part ways in Lalaland ?Orbit-50 wrote:Wow! in addition, many of the things we find on license agreement has to do with antippiracy, copy and share the product we have purchased is against their agreement, wich is understandable and is ok...

The easiest way to deal with this is to not buy any products that use the iLok/Pace system...
There are plenty of other choices out there....
When the sales drop off,the manufacturers who use that poxy system will get the message loud and clear...
I don't like iLok/Pace,so I no longer use any software that requires it...
It's that simple

Hmmm. Seems like something was lost in the translation on your end. Must be something in the water over there. Ok, this will be the last time that I will ever attempt to unravel your logic. I promise.shroom81 wrote:You're a numb headed one aren't ya ?Orbit-50 wrote:

I never have to do that either for software that uses iLok but not nearly all the software I use does. Maybe now this will resonate through your thick skull mate ?

I'm just trying to activate VIP with iLok on another computer only for debugging.
It didn't let me to activate the DEMO without iLok runnning.
So I tried to log in from the installer. Didn't work. However, I managed to log in from iLok manager directly with SAME password. This is nonsense and total waste of time
