Fine. Saves us from another soundset of yours and we can finally go back into a normal conversation about this synth.

This is a quote from Dmitry website,
Thorn offers 3 oscillators that utilize spectral synthesis method. This gives you control over all harmonics involved into the generation process of your sound. The oscillator provides sets of spectral and real-time effects to shape harmonics further. Of course FM, RM, PWM, Hard Sync implemented too.

It seems that the concept of the synth is basically to pack additive synthesis into typical subtractive signalflow everybody is used to.
Yes, was curious to find out how it works, but the file is huge for a mere synth, so I aborted the download right away...

Enjoy the rest of your thread. It's a great sounding synth regardless.

Still playing with Thorn around. It's seems that the dev creates a mixture of Diversion and Tantra include drag and drop in the fx section. Workflow is pretty nice and gui is definite a good one.

I have deleted all my previous posts. Let's try this again.

Synth sounds great. Love the filters, sequencer, layout.

Putting in request to dev for font change in a future update.

All in all, excellent synth.

Just got the email.
Off to try it.
I like Dmitry's stuff.

 Sorry, I am a little excited so my post isn't clear :hihi: . I was referring to if it has drag and drop modulation. Thanks for the info -- all of it sounds great :hyper:

In answer to somebody's question above, there is no additional discount for owners of Diversion and/or Tantra. Fair enough - it is a good entry price.

I think Wags does have a point about the resolutions, it doesn't seem thought through for common screen sizes. 'Large' loses a small strip off the bottom of my 24" 1920*1200 and huge a slightly larger strip off my 27" retina on standard (medium) setting.

That's a minor quibble though as large is fine on the bigger screen, and normal on the smaller one for me.

Sounds excellent. I don't need it. I have Spectral. I don't need it. I don't need it ....

Y'all ganged up on him but Wags made a decent point. The Screen Size is definently an issue for me specifically. I run a 15 inch laptop for production and the normal UI was to small and the Next level was to big.
Frustrating because otherwise this is a fantastic synth with tons of creative potential.
Hope Dev fixes soon. A custom adjustable UI would be the best. Like the way image line has done with some of their plugins. Being able to drag to your own size.

This is very interesting and gives hope there are some creative type filters traditionally found in subtractive synths -- can anyone confirm.. Will have a look at the manual when its tea time :hyper:

Of course I made a decent point. But I'm me, so I'm not allowed to.

God, how I hate this place.
